You have to remove the outer tie rod and the clamp on the bigger end of the boot. Then just wiggle it off. If you have any rust or grease built up on the tie rod, it will have to be scraped off to slide the boot off because the small end is a pretty tight fit. Be sure to mark where the nut is on the tie rod for reassembly, or get an alignment afterwards. If you are replacing both, the passenger side is a little trickier. You have the dampener to remove also. ------------------
