I have 3 wires I need help with, they exit the bundle by the a/c compressor. Two appear to be ground and the other has a plug. I need a connecting point.

You are right. Two are a ground the other looks like an o2 sensor to me.

Yes the O2, I don't have the exhaust installed, thanks for jogging my memory. Do you now the connection points for the grounds? Seems there would be optimum point for ignition or what have you. I suppose the starter bolt just not sure.

Those two grounds usually connect to the front head under the throttle body.

I have an 86 and an 88 FSM. The picture above is found on page 8A-201-5 figure A in the '86 FSM and a slightly different one on page 8A-201-3 figure A in the '88 FSM.
