Just noticed that Jon Lagler (Fiero Addiction) has a bunch of 4.9L engine swap mounts for sale on eBay. These have not been available for some time and are priced to sell. Anyone doing a 4.9L swap might be interested. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fie...&hash=item258712d5f5
------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Powerlog manifold, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Flotech Afterburner Exhaust, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, HP Tuners VCM Suite. "THE COLUSSUS" 87GT - ALL OUT 3.4L Turbocharged engine, Garrett Hybrid Turbo, MSD ign., modified TH125H " ON THE LOOSE WITHOUT THE JUICE "
Not a bad deal! I might pick one up to have around. Never know, I might do another 4.9 swap one day.
I was thinking along the same lines. At $35 you really can go wrong and it saves fabrication work. About 1/2 the cost of WCF's 4.9L mount.

Are you saying that WCF.s front engine mount or the Fiero Addiction mount is 88 specific? We have a WCF front engine mount about to be used on an 85. Sure hope that it fits.

The Fiero Addiction mount is 88 specific - says so in the eBay listing.
Over the last 6 months or so, he has been liquidating his left over parts for Fieros. For example, he also had 7 of the 84-87 engine mounts for the 4.9 listed for $40 each and sold them all. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fie...&hash=item2585a1e807

Looks like WCF is now the only game in town for the 85-87 front mount.
You can always make this mount.

To clarify further two sets of mounts are being sold. 85-87 and 88 specific. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fie...rksid=p2047675.l2557
The more common mount is $40.
Two sets of mounts "were" being sold. The 84-87 mounts appear to have been sold out and are no longer being sold. Only the 88 versions are still currently available.
Can't see the WCF 4.9L front motor mount installed as the car needs to be on a lift to take a picture. Can't do pics today as we are expecting some significant snow. The WCF mount looks like this:
The problem is that the mount goes on a diagonal from the front of the 4.9L to the preexisting holes in the front cradle mount bracket. Easy to install but thats about it. This diagonal mounting may be strong but it places almost right on the axle and interferes with it on the automatic swaps. Can't say what it would be like on the manual swap. We had to cut about 1/2 " off of it to gain clearance. I cannot recommend this mount as a plug and play solution. The design was not well thought out.

The Fiero Addiction 88 bracket is essentially a flat bracket that bolts to the end of the "trunk side" of the block, and extends down to a right angled bracket which, in turn, bolts to the rubber mount that sits on the cradle shelf. If you've ever seen the Fiero Factory 4.9 mount, it's very similar. I broke my front side mount a while back, and while I was repairing that, I replaced the FF mount with the FA mount, because I had it, unused. But there is very little difference between the two, other than the FA mount being more nicely done.
Edit - I found an archive of Fiero Addiction's page. The FA bracket requires an Energy Suspension mount, as detailed at the link. Also contains pics of the bracket. http://www.nathanbittinger....roaddiction/caddy49c
