Can anyone tell me the location of the Vehicle Speed Sensor on a 2.5 ? My check engine light came on and the code indicates its the VSS...so I bought a new one, but I can't find any information about it or its location in any of the reference books that I have. Anyone have the same issue? Any advice or help would be awesome !!!

The speed sensor location is specific to the transmission, not the engine. On the automatic transmission, it's over on the right side, just above the passenger side axle. On the manual transmissions, it's on top of the differential housing.

Under the alternator, at the end of the transmission. Pull out the retaining hook and DO NOT drop the plastic gear into the case.
