I'm doing some clean up on my 87 GT under the plastic cowl under the front windshield and see these "plugs"?" that go under the windshield. Are they just spacers for the windshield?

Keeps the glass up while the "glue" dries.

And another ditto, I worked the glass line, well and many others as utility repair at a couple of GM assembly plants and that exactly what it is. While some are different than others, maybe that was from a glass replacement as all the ones I have used at the factory were solid. Mater of fact I actually have a hand full left that I had taken home by accident one night when doing glass install one night, I had them in my t shirt pocket and forgot all about them. they come on a small sheet with a tiny bit of glue to keep them in place for the couple of seconds until we set the glass in place. They come in different sizes to make the glass fit right.
