I had pulled my cradle and seem to have lost one of the axle washers. Is there really anything special about them? Do I have to replace the axle nut or can I reuse them.

The axle washers are hardened steel so you'd be better off buying one or finding one from another car such as a Sunfire or Cavalier at a junk yard. As for the nuts, they are one time use since their locking ability is degraded after one use. Don't forget that these nuts go on with 200 lbft of torque.

New axle nuts are available as NAPA part number 630-1571 or I am sure Autozone or Advance probably has them as well.
