Hi - is there any tips or tricks i should know before I remove the oil sump on my 87 2.8
I have a bit of an oil leak and I want to change the gasket as I think this is the culprit.

Can it be done with the engine in the car etc ?

thanks in advance and any opinions are welcomed

jon

IMO, the best way to do this is to jack or hoist the front of the engine, and put a block of wood under the crankshaft pulley to support it. You'll need to remove the engine mounts (including the top "dog bone" mount). But the transaxle mounts can be left alone. You'll also need to move the starter out of the way.
