I'm hoping that someone can answer a couple of questions regarding a harness that Phonedawgz built for my 3800 na swap in an 84 automatic. I've sent him PMs but haven't gotten a response in over a month.
Anyway, my questions are, what coolant temp sensor should I be using? The harness has a two wire oval plug but my 3800 has a round three pin connector. Also, I had asked for the optional wire that you can ground for the performance shifting mode for the 4t65e but I don't see it on the harness.
I'm hoping that someone that got a harness from him in the past can help me out. Thanks in advance!
The performance shift is terminal #21 on the clear PCM connector. The wire color is dark blue. Grounding this wire will signal performance shift if the PCM is programmed for that option. Using the two wire connector (yellow and black) would allow PCM to read coolant temperature. The three wire ( yellow, black, and dark green) would also provide for the Fiero temperature gage. The gage reads via pin C-2 in the C-500 connector.
What's the best way people have gotten a hold of him? I sent him an e-mail about a month and a half ago and never heard back about an issue I'm having with his wiring harness. Don't mean to derail the thread, just curious.

Have you tried PMing him? (Not sure if that is what you meant by email.) He is often found here in Tech. I know I get busy. Perhaps he is? He has been a huge help to our Fieros. I don't see him as purposely ignoring you.
Thanks for the info again everyone, that should take care of me. I also would like to say that Phonedawgz has been very helpful to me in the past, even offering to meet me as we only live maybe a couple of hours away and he travels my way occasionally. I'm not sure why he hasn't answered PMs or emails lately even though I have seen him helping out in the tech section in the same timeframe, but I'm sure he has a good reason. We all get busy sometimes...
