Are all the timing covers the same, '85 through '88, or is the '88 unique?
I need to replace my timing cover for my '88.

Thanks,
Nick

85/86 are the same. 87/88 are the same and different to 85/86.

Note: the oil pans differ as well to match up with the timing cover.

Thanks for the info, that will help me narrow my search for a replacement cover.

Also, I am pretty sure the 87/88 Fiero V6 timing cover is the same as the F-body 3.4L and 3.1L.

Actually they are not, the water pump flows in the opposite direction, otherwise I would use it. I'm in the middle of a 3.4 conversion and I just discovered this. Thought I had a cover I could use.

Physically yes....but it will not work as the 3.4 water pump spins in reverse and the timing cover is slightly different to accommodate. I do not know about the 3.1.
