using the stock rotors and calipers, what are the best Brake Pads that will stay quiet (not squeal or make a metal on metal sound) and stop the car better ? need new pads, might as well get what "Works Best". Thanks

Wagner Thermo-Quite work very well front and back on our stock '86-'87 brakes. No appreciable brake dust, brake very smooth and grip as good or better than expected.

Buy at Rock Auto or your local parts store. Lifetime replacements at the local parts store, less cost at Rock. Rebate of $15 per set of pads running now to Jun 1st.

Today, for the 1st time, I hit the gas in this 3800SC/4t65e-HD . (Just in my driveway, not "Plated" yet). I Didn't think it was going to "Jump" like that ! ( I thought these were" NON Posi" ! Sure left 2 nice TRACKS. Now I REALLY need better Brakes !

Have the upgrade pads from Fiero Store. Never had a problem stopping quickly. Still going to upgrade to the Lebanon 11.26 inch for fade resistance. Only faded current brakes driving pushing limits on mountain roads.
But for a daily driver, the upgrade pads are great. Will lock up 215/60r15 performance tires.
