The Fiero Store sells a scan tool/cd to monitor ECM values & parameters.
Has anyone come up with a DIY alternative?

Also, here is a related question I am curious about.
Apparently there is a difference between the 85 V6 ECM and the 86-88 ones. Why is the 85 ECM different?
Thanks, Kit

Because GM made changes to the ECM for exact same engine and ECM PN changed.

Some ECM versions can use same PROM/MEMCAL but others can't like 87-88 Fiero 4cyl vs old versions. This Engine is completely different and may look same to some but isn't and ECM is on different level then early years too w/ Cruise Box built into that.

Thank you Imsa.
I’m trying to contact PhoneDawgz now.
Thanks Ogre for the input on my question about 85 vs. 86-88 V6 ECM differences.
