Meet the MWFC clubs!
Midwest Fiero Clubs is a dedicated group of enthusiasts whose passion is to promote and preserve the Pontiac Fiero and the Fiero Community. MWFC has organized and facilitated Anniversary Fiero Events. The Midwest Fiero clubs is a joint effort consisting of multiple Fiero clubs. In this post we are featuring one of those clubs, the Wisconsin Fiero Fanatics.

Founded by Tom Podziemski in 1989, the club exists for one purpose only: to have fun! There is no board of directors. Instead volunteers will put on events which will keep members interests on a high level. The club publishes a bi-monthly newsletter in print as well as online to keep everyone informed of coming events. The Wisconsin Fiero Fanatics is a charter member of the Midwest Fiero Clubs Region of the AACA.

The Dells Run is the Wisconsin Fiero Fanatics largest event. We have members from at least five states represented at the Dells Run held in the Wisconsin Dells annually. This event runs across four days, and there are ‘events with-in the main event’ sponsored by other area Fiero clubs as well. We have hosted an ‘early bird’ event in which we have done a scenic cruise to The Cove bar and grill on Mason Lake for dinner. We returned by several different routes back to the host hotel to meet and greet new arrivals from around the Midwest. On Friday, things really started to heat up with more arrivals and early breakfast with attendees choosing their favorite restaurants to eat together. The most popular one recently was Mr. Pancake’s, a classic Wisconsin Dells restaurant just five miles from the resort. We later convened to go to a dinner, sponsored by the Illinois chapter (N.I.F.E.) at the Cold-Water Canyon Golf Course Tavern for an all you can eat fish fry. After dinner, it was time to get out into the parking lot to check out all the Fieros that have arrived and chat with their owners. Saturday is the big show and after the show we line up to do the traditional Dells Run cruise through town. There were over 50 Fieros entered at the 2019 Dells Run show. Saturday night is time to relax, circle the lawn chairs and get ready for the next event, sponsored by the Minnesota chapter. This tradition started years ago out in one of the parking lots as a way to convene anyone who wanted to share stories about their Fiero and consume beverages and snacks with fellow Fiero friends. On Sunday, the awards presentation is held with trophies and special awards handed out to the winners in each class as well as ‘best in class’ and then time to pack up and leave for home.

The Dells Run was started in 1992 by Tom Podziemski (aka..the prezzzz) of the Wisconsin Fiero Fanatics and features events within the event. The Dells Run is held usually on the last week of May / first week of June depending on the year. This is one of the Midwest Fiero Clubs shows on the yearly schedule and features one of every two Fieros going home with a trophy! It was originally held in downtown Wisconsin Dells but was moved to Chula Vista Resort back in the late '90's and grew to feature over 145 Fieros in the early 2000's. Fiero enthusiasts from all over the country have participated at one time or another. It is manned by volunteers from the WFF club who help in running this event such as parking, registration, ballot counting, and all the different functions that go with putting on a show of this size.
We welcome all new members and prospective Fiero owners to check out all the different classes that are part of the Dells Run and invite all Fieros to do the infamous Dells Run through the town on Saturday afternoon. You don't want to miss all the other 'events' either. Many other things to do with-in the resort are available for participants to enjoy, including a water park. The theme each year is new, and surprises are in store for everyone to HAVE FUN !!

Club founder and President is Tom "The PREZZ" Podziemski.
WFF has a Spring Social in March, a Spring ‘Tune-up Tour” in May, the famous Dells Run in June (the first stop on the Midwest Fiero Clubs show circuit), a Fall Color Cruise in October and a Christmas Social In December. Along with this, we participate in several car shows throughout the state and the Midwest for members to participate in during the summer months. The club continues to expand with new members joining every year.

You can contact the clubs President Tom "The PREZZ" Podziemski at their facebook group Wisconsin Fiero Fanatics.
