Just a heads up that Fast Fieros of Dallas website is still up and taking orders. (no paypal but pre-paid by check only!) We all know the story of Loyde Roscoe and about many of the transactions that he failed to deliver on. It is doubtful if anything about this individual has changed. I am only mentioning this as there is still some good tech info on that site.

Funny you mention this issue. I had hoped this guy was dead and gone but I guess not. Here's another interesting read but this one comes from a BMW forum....go figure: https://xworksbmw.com/fast-fieros-scam
Edit to add, sad to see the before and today images:

The following quote was kind of a low blow (for those of us with an interest in Fieros)... but nevertheless, that was a very interesting read. Once a crook, always a crook.
quote
...Loyde bragged of owning more than 240 Fiero's! For the record the cost of 240 Fiero's is equivalent to the price of a large cheese pizza with two toppings and a cheesy bread side order.

Once you know how to do something, it's hard to simply change career and do something else... it's not like you have work experience that some other industry will find accept.
Loyde may not know any other way of supporting himself.
Collectively, it doesn't really make sense that employers filter out job applicants due to having a criminal record. In doing so, we don't give much choice to career criminals but to continue doing what they know.
It's been my experience employers don't filter out those with a criminal record. Last place I worked was a large company, but they knowlingly hired a felony convict because it helped fill needed "set aside" and he was a college football player.

Consider the source. A bunch of BMW riders.

I saw Loydes name (Fast Fieros of Dallas) mentioned on the 3800pro forum and some guy recommended that a member buy his low alternator mount. The modus operandi there hasn't changed "checks or money order payment in advance" "No phone as my ex-wife took it". " Paypal not accepted" and we know why. I know a guy up here in NJ that paid Loyde $9,000 in advance for an engine swap. He never got the swap and after two years of nothing completed had a very difficult time getting his car back . He finally threatened to take his life (he wasn't kidding) if the car was not returned and it was shipped back to him with no engine. He never did get his money back. I am very surprised no one has broken his legs yet. I dislike talking ill of others but Loyde is just not honest. The new members of this forum need to be advised to stay away.

Exactly the point of my first post in this thread.
