What is the stock stereo depth? I want to buy an aftermarket stereo that’s 6.9 inches deep and I wanna make sure it fits. Also I found a metra dash kit 99-4000 that says it’s for 84 to 88 fieros. Just wanna get a clarification on that. Thanks!

Often it's the rear bracket for the stock radio that is the depth problem with an aftermarket deck.
You can remove it if it's in the way.

With the small amount of actual dash space required you might find you can fit a 9 inch screen without any modification at all.
