My experience with 84's is... Don't bother, unless it is concourse ready and you'll never drive it. I know you (and most of us) are more into actually getting in, hitting he has and twisting the wheel.

With GM basically reviving the Fiero and calling it the new Corvette the most advanced project I could think of would be mating one of those dual turbo, direct injection Cadillac V8's to a six-speed manual.

Easily a six figure project though.

Get 84 sail panels. Made of Glass. Has bolt(s) inside must remove inside trim to get at.

The junkyard in question is Andersen's Sales and Salvage in Greeley, CO. I have been there many times and they usually have a good selection of cars and reasonable prices. This Fiero is more than likely long gone by now, but it may still be in the yard.
