Can anyone tell me the difference between the older KYB rear struts (silver in color / GR2?) and the newer Excel-G (black) ones? Just wondering what performance / longevity difference there is. I’m doing the rears on my 85 GT and the ones Rockauto sells is the Excel’s. Thanks, Kit
I just checked...On KYB's website they state that they are exactly the same...Just consolidating the different names in different markets. Do a simple google search for KYB GR2 and the second or third line down says "KYB Americas"....Click on that and read their statement.
Yes, I saw the link. (Thank you) I had assumed they were physically different. From some of the Youtube videos they are still showing the Excel-G as for original equipment ride and the silver GR-2 silver for more performance handling. Thanks, Kit
