looking at the fierostore abs backed headliner and i know archie used to do a headliner dont know if he still does any other options for a non sunroof headliner?
When I had the headliner replaced in my 87 GT w sun roof, I bought a new headliner backing board for the job. I took the car to an upholstery shop for the job and they asked what it was for. I explained that I had been told the old backer board would crumble when it gets removed. He said that was because they didn't know what they were doing. They redid my headliner with no issues and I sold the backer board to someone else. If you take it to a professional, they may not need a backer board, if you do it yourself, good luck.
