This week's Season 5 finale S5/E23

The High school Principal's Suzuki Samurai is dismantled by Barry as a High School Prank.
His Insurance Company covers it and he gets a new 86/87 GT, grey interior w/sunroof.
It's seen in the parking lot and again in a prank right in the end credits.

Yes, and I quote, "it's a fly ass t-top Pontiac Fiero". Well, that is what they say, and it does look very nice, but it has a sunroof.

Its a Burgundy 87, there have been other times as well when a Fiero made cameo appearances on The Goldbergs.

I paused the DVR, rewound, and pointed that out to my wife... who I am sure didn't care a whit, and rolled her eyes...

It would have been even sweeter if it had been a T-top car... but somehow it is fitting for the Barry Goldberg character to miss-identify that.
