Hello guys, Im getting pretty close to trying to start my sbc 350 fiero, but i found out my stock tank is all dented up beyond repair. I have been looking all over for a new gas tank and cant seem to find any. I saw back in 2011 there was a guy making aluminum ones but that was 2011. I guess i come here looking for advice as what to do, Im not opposed of buying a 10 gallon fuel cell or something, any tips or suggestions?

Thanks, Mike

This comes up frequently and it seems that the real issue with a used gs tank is the shipping. I have a spare tank and I would gladly give it away if someone could find a carrier that would ship a used gas tank. Perhaps your best bet would be to find a Fiero that is up for parts in your area.

The 87 and 88 tanks require the fuel vapor tank installed correctly in order to hold their full fuel capacity. Without it the gas station pump nozzle will kick off before the tank is full. So just the 87 or 88 tank wont gain you much. If you are wondering the fuel capacities for the 84 to 86 it is 10.2 gallons total, the '87-'88's are 11.9 gallons.

I would like to add that the fuel vapor tank is located next to the battery under the passenger rear wheel well and is often rusted as a result.
