Hi guys, I have to replace the driver door lock in my '86 GT. Does the power window mech have to come out, and what should I expect? Previous owner still can't find the service manual.

Hi FX , Since nobody has yet responded to your question, I at least can tell you this. To the best of my knowledge, the power window mechanism is completely separate from the door lock and assembly. I was in there more than once doing dew wipe replacements. Its easy to pull the inner panel to see what your up against, you just may have a tight squeeze being its position in the upper edge of the door. good luck.
