I'm just curious. My converter is clogged and the muffler is wasted. Is it really that loud? I have to special order a muffler with the duel outlets. I just want to get this thing back running good asap.

I have tried several mufflers on a V6 Fiero.
About the only one I'd use now, unless I was doing something really custom (true duals or similar) would be the Ocelot. (There are some similar designs, but I've never heard them, so can't comment.)
Everything else I've ever tried sounded like pure kwrap. To include a cat and dual resonated tips, since you asked about something similar.

It's also available with tips.

If you're ditching the cat, you'll need this, too.

This was my solution a few years ago.

1) Remove passenger seat
2) Drive an hour to the wreckers
3) Remove a complete cat-back system from a dead GT
4) Pay the nice man $50
5) Drive an hour home and attract more than a few funny looks...

Here is a clip of what a 2.8 sounds like without a muffler
I believe it sounds good but I don't quite think you can achieve the same sound without major modification hahaha

And here's what a Fiero 2.8 sounds like with factory cat, factory muffler, ported exhaust manifolds and 1.6 rockers. Autocross a couple years ago with my Formula.

It's not exactly quiet.
