The 23rd Annual Fieros at Carlisle hosted by the Mid-Atlantic Fiero Owners Association is the one East Coast Fiero show that you do not want to miss! This show within a show is a part of the larger new All Chevrolet Nationals Show, previously known as GM Nationals, at the Carlisle Fairgrounds, June 23-25 in 2017. Although the show has a new name, all GM models are still being welcomed with open arms. The main Fiero event is planned for Saturday, June 24. This should be a special day for Fiero owners from all over. In order to make sure you don’t miss out on the fun, we recommend that you pre-register by May 10. Your entry and entry for your passenger are $36 for the entire weekend if you pre-register by May 10. Additionally, the first 30 Fieros to register through MAFOA will receive a commemorative Fieros at Carlisle 2017 T-Shirt sponsored by the FieroStore. To register, please visit THIS LINK.
This year's show will include a total of 9 classes: Stock Notchback & Fastback, Custom Notchback & Fastback, Modified Notchback & Fastback, Factory Stock, Daily Driver and the brand new REBODY class. MAFOA will also host special trophies that Fieros on our showfield will be eligible to win. A great array of raffle items will also be available - as well as a "live" auction in conjunction with the speical awards ceremony.
Chevrolet Nationals is home to a diverse group of General Motors vehicles. This year at the show will celebrate 50 years of the Camaro, as well as a focus on other GM vehicles. We are currently working on some special Fiero connections that will make this be a show you don't want to miss.
Will our club be the largest one at the show for a second year in a row? The completion at Carlisle is not just between the cars, but also between the clubs to see who is the largest. Winning clubs get benefits which help us put on an even better show for you to enjoy! Our goal this year is 75 cars - just 15 more than last year's total!
Instructional and informational sessions will also be featured at the showgrounds. You can tune up your automotive knowledge with free seminars including information for both the seasoned veteran and rookie do-it-yourselfer. Topics include performance, restoration and maintenance. Seminars are conducted by some of the biggest names in the business and they are FREE! Special tech sessions will also be hosted on the Fiero showfield so don’t miss out.
We currently have less than 20 "free" shirts available. An additional bonus offered to pre-registrants this month is a free e-copy of our March FieroPride newsletter, a joint publication between NEFA and MAFOA.
Fieros at Carlsile should be a no miss event for all Fiero owners. Thoughout the years Fiero owners from over 20 states and Canada have attended this event. There are stock, modified, custom and rebodied Fieros to be found on the show field. There are Fieros featuring many different types of engine swaps and unique modifications. You can find parts, books, tools, accessories on the 132 acre fairground . Some of the nicest people and the greatest auto tech minds all attend this giant auto show. This year featured events will include the GM Muscle Car Showdown, Honor 50 years of the Firebird, Nitrofest, Technical Seminars, TV celebrities Lou Santiago (from Velocity) , Kevin Tetz (power nation TV) , a womans oasis tent, and the Ms. Carlisle Nationals Competition where young girls in small bikinis compete for prizes.
Here is a video of the Ms Carlisle GM Nationals contest. https://youtu.be/qtu-Navnf_A There is something for everyone here in this Fiero event within the GM/Chevrolet Nationals on Saturday June 24th. Be there! You won't be disappointed

Judging by the large amount of pre-registrations received; this years Carlisle event will be huge. Come on out. The drive is nice and so is the area. Everything is just down the road for the most discriminating traveler.

Glad to hear that the Gate Passes are arriving - we look forward to seeing everyone!!
As we count down the 25 days to Carlisle, we want to give special shout outs to the amazing sponsors who help us put on this show. Without their support, the special awards and hospitality would not be possible.
Today's shout out goes to longtime Fiero vendor, Rodney Dickman. Rodney makes a plethora of parts and accessories for Fieros and their owners and has been one of our longest running sponsors. You can learn more about him on his site at www.rodneydickman.com
Anyone from the Baltimore area planning on caravanning up? Maybe meet at the Hunt Valley Mall?
The guys coming up from Baltimore Dwane and Garry are really nice guys. . Garry is an MAFOA board member and has been a real asset to the club and Dwayne is a good Fiero man. If you decide to stay over Friday night there are still some hotel rooms left in nearby Mechanicsburg 11 mi south on Rt 11. Enjoy the ride up. I will be coming West from NJ three hours away. Dennis

The Central VA FIERO club scramble is on ......... Pat's 88 GT (the work in progress) is being delivered to paint tonight. My 308 lunched the AC compressor and both axles started flinging grease from the inner CV joints. Scotts transmission has not yet been installed but he will attend with a friend in the Firebird section....... All in all...... All's normal and we are hoping for good weather and a great event.

Glad to hear this. Hope that your 3800SC swap is progressing OK. Engine looked great when I saw it a few years back.

So I finally pulled the trigger on Monday and decided to go to Carlisle. Now last night I hear there is going to be hurricane blasting thru there on Saturday morning. Is this really happening? Is there a rain date? Any refunds if it is a wash out?
they cant predict weather---they say it will snow and it wont--prolly peter out before it gets there! I went when the monsoon was there 2yrs ago--stopped raining as soon as I left!
From what I can see on the forecast for Carlisle; there may be some overnight rain on Friday and possible early morning rain on Saturday becoming sunny and warm in the afternoon. The weather should be good. Don't forget your sun screen!

Alluding to my prior comments, (that have now been removed), I have been told that there is an affiliation between MAFOA and Midwest Fiero clubs. My sincerest apologies for believing that the post was being hijacked and for a quick judgement.

Thanks to the MAFOA crew for putting on a great show this year at Carlisle. After a 12 year absence from the Fiero scene it was great to get the Formula back out and meet with other owners. Looking forward to future events.
