I need to replace the remote for my 87 fiero's alarm system. Thing is, it came with the car when I got it around 1995? I dont know who made it or if it was dealer installed? Thus I don't know which universal remote to get? On its warn face about all i decipher is :coo?ar?m
As for inside:
TRA 027
50253

WHEREAS I'D RATHER NOT, RIP IT OUT OF THE CAR: I HOPE THE ABOVE INFO RINGS SOMEONE'S BELL.

Glad you found the correct remote. Not knowing if mine had a universal remote, in order to obtain the proper remote for mine, I actually looked at the main control box. It's hidden away underneath the dash, but encounters no wear so that all brand and model identifications are there.

Lucky for me, I did not have to get under the dash with my bum back; I was able make out the FCC code # on my old remote and using their table, I found a compatible replacement and ordered a new one. It cost $40:00 with shipping, a little more than i expected. but they apparently make good products, whereas mine lasted 30 years.
Thanks again.
