Wonder if anyones tried using a Mopar flip style cap like a lot of the muscle Mopars had. There very easy to install, usually just a few sheet metal screws that will be hidden.

At first i did not like how the gas cap looked; it looked out of place. Thus, I built up the area around it to make it appear recessed. Oh and I had to extend the gas tank filler tube for it work good. LOL, it was one of those -this should be easy and quick- things!
A member of our "Central Virginia FIERO owners Club" is getting ready to paint his car so it was the perfect time to talk to Francis and get some pointers from his recent experiences prepping and painting. The forecast for Saturday Morning was 'fog burning off then partly cloudy' it of course rained. (every weekend for a month now)
Francis and his painter / body man have added a few nice touches.
I've included a couple of pictures of one of his latest passions ---- large scale, full function radio control battleships!
Is that a Missouri ? I built a whole task force and ran it with a 10 channel control. I had the Missouri, scratch built the Hornet, a destroyer escort and a sub. I kept the sub simple just had a speed control and rudder...set the front and rear dive planes down a bit. I could make it dive by speeding it up and surface by slowing back down. The Missouri had 2 main turrets set up with firing air controlled BB guns. Others built their own ships and we went to a local pond and had wars. The hulls were balsa except the sub. At the end of the battle wed go out in a row boat and retrieve all the losers. Repairs were easy for the next get together. We just attached a strong fishing line inside the hull fastened to a small bobber usually set in a smokestack. When it sunk you just pulled it back up by the bobber if you couldnt see it. ive got some pics somewhere if youd like to see.

Did you ever dyno the motor? Curious what you got out of the little 2.8?
No dyno test yet, I have not had the car on the road but a few miles. It had issues with trans shifting which turned out to be a fused shift cable. I got a new cable, just need to get help swapping it out.
