A few of you have seen this before I'm sure. It was the Indy pace car that was time capsuled in the GM Heritage facility. I am posting this for those of you who want to restore an Indy to "just rolled off the assembly line condition", this is the car to get your reference pictures from. The only thing thats been replaced is the battery. You literally could serve dinner on the undercarriage it's so clean. Not even dealer prepped, still has the original protective shipping plastic on the interior. All the original documents. EVERYONE SAVE THE TONS OF PICTURES as this is on a dealer consignment site for Barret Jackson and won't be up forever since once the car sells for $26,000, I'm sure they will take the site down.

It dont mean a whole lot except to Fiero addict, lol. I bought a one of 1,000 Firebird Trans Am Convertible with very few miles that still had plastic on the carpet and seats too. Took me almost a year to get $5000 for it. I lost money on it.

A Cadillac dealer in Winnipeg, Manitoba also had a "new" 24 mile Indy Pace Car in the $31,000 range.

It's probably still there...

The market is FLOODED with Fieros FOR SALE right now. The young generation has no idea what this car is all about and many Fiero guys already have their cars. Only a peculiar individual would be interested in owning a $25K car with sluggish under performing Duke power. Yes this Indy is low miles and is a good collectible classic, but ideals and reality are very far apart. The reality is that they will be lucky to get half of the asking price. My bid on this car would be $3500. They would not sell it to me for that but because I have NO interest in a Fiero like this that would be the most that I would pay. Also take a look at the high buck red 88 GT that's been for sale for 5 years with no takers!!!!! Reality is that Fiero's just don't sell and when they do the prices are at "bargain basement" levels. The good news is that they are the perfect platform for building an inexpensive hot rod.
