Have a MSD blaster coil, finishing up exhaust manifold gaskets ( don't ask I almost lost my mind), wondering about guys saying to relocate it because of the heat. Does it make sense to locate it on the trunk storage wall facing the engine, or ( with holes drilled) put it inside the trunk ( indentation). Obviously you will need a longer distributor to coil wire and lengthen the others. Whats your take on this ???

Best to put it inside the trunk. GM in their performance and the PPG pace cars always put the coil and ignition box inside the trunk to protect it from the heat.
