I was looking through some old photos and found this photo. I must have taken it 20 years ago. I stopped in to see the owner maybe three years ago and the car still resides in its garage. It gets started frequently but doesn't get driven much any more. The car was purchased by the owner as new 84 Pace car, but he started having the car modified from the start. I could not convince him to driving the car to the 30th reunion, too far a drive.

I remember that car. Too bad you couldn't convince him to drive it again.

I think the last show he drove the Indy was the FOCOA show at Osage Beach (2000?).

know the Indy very well. Always wondered what happen to it.

Isn't that Fran's car? I remember seeing it, and taking pics of it, at Osage Beach.

That is one sweet-looking car.

I fight the urge almost every day to convert my pace car to a fastback. It would have been sweet if the real pace car looked like that.

I have an old FOCOA mag that has a couple page article on that car.

Nice car. Not too fond of the wing though.

We miss seeing Fran. Maybe we can get him to the 35th!
