Just picked up an 88 Formula with 156,000 miles on it. This is my second Fiero, I had an 86 2.5/5 Speed back in high school too many years ago.

Anybody else on here from Delaware? I can only remember seeing 1 other on the road recently, and I was driving another car at the time so waving would have been weird

------------------
1988 Fiero Formula - White - Stock 2.8/Auto - 156,000 miles and counting
2008 Patriot - Black - 2.4/CVT/FDI - 110,000 miles and counting

There are a couple members here in the DE! I'm in Wilmington, member N3M3SIS is in Newport. Post up some pics of your formula!

No pictures yet...I think I should wash it first! I'll give it a bath and on Wednesday I get my DE tags for it so I'll put some up after that.

I spent some time today cleaning the interior. I read here on the forum about using Scrubbing Bubbles so I went to town with that and a toothbrush on the door pull handle and stuff like that. The interior I think I have is "dark saddle" but it was nearly black in some spots.

Of all the stock colors, white looks best.

My head agrees that white is a good looking color for the Formula.

But my heart thinks that red would look gorgeous on this car.

Nice.

Red is a ticket color. White doesn't get me pulled over as aften.

I think the white has a very fresh, clean look but yellow with "formula" in black makes people notice the car and then go "Damn, what was that?"

@tshark
Well, actually, red hasn't gotten me pulled over at all. ;P

@Funkicidal
Nice Formula, looks to be in great condition for all those miles. Just make sure to keep it that way.

I'm sure going to try to keep it nice. It does need some paint/body work on the passenger side but I can't see that when I'm driving it, so I'll wait on that a little bit.

It will be a while before I have enough money tucked away for either the paint work or an engine swap...currently leaning toward the swap, but like I say that is a ways off.

If you have a brown/tan interior, the proper name is 'Beechwood'. 88 only.

Yeah. My dad and I poked around in it last weekend. It would seem piston rings are shot. I think the motor is toast at this point to be honest.

A hone and re-ring isn't to hard to do. As long as the block is still good.

It's well beyond my abilities. Hahaha. Never even dropped a cradle before!
