September is just around the corner and so is the Fiero Dutch Classic in Neffsville, PA.

Saturday, September 20th, 2014
The Manheim Twp Community Park
200 Petersburg Rd Lititz, PA 17543

The Dutch Classic will be there as a part of the Lancaster Northeast Rotary's 13th Annual Neffsville Car Show in Neffsville, PA. The kind folks of the Lancaster Northeast Rotary allow us to hold a "show within a show" where Neffsville provides the location and ambiance as part of their regular show, and MAFOA provides trophies for Fiero specific classes, as well as space for a swap meet and gathering of Fiero enthusiasts.

Registration can be done online through the MAFOA site at MAFOA Fall Neffsville Show
or by e-mail to Bruce Homeyard at fierobruiser@gmail.com.

Pre-registration cost is $15 for MAFOA members. This includes the $15 fee paid to the Neffsville organizers for field entry and lunch. Fee for non-MAFOA members is $18. Of course, if you aren't already a MAFOA member, the best thing is to join today! Visit The MAFOA Website for details!

You are also encouraged to bring items for the swap meet. So bring stuff, buy stuff, sell stuff, trade stuff! Swap meet space is available for $5 to non-members but free if you are already a member. Yet another reason to join!

Pre-registration is due by September 10.

Classes include:
Stock Notchback
Stock Fastback
Custom NB and FB
Modified NB and FB
Daily Driver

As we get closer to the show, some classes may be split if there are a lot of cars in one class.

A "Best of Show" award will also be given, as well as other special awards.

New for 2014, MAFOA has arranged for our own reserved pavilion a little off from the crowd and we will be able to do swap meet stuff as well. So you'll be able to relax in the shade at the pavilion, or wander into the center of the show and walk the rows until you're tired. The atmosphere should be maybe halfway between the completely quiet relaxed Lititz and the frenzy of a busy show at Carlisle?

It's not just Fieros. This is a decent sized show with lots of other makes and models, both import and domestic. We're planning to do our "Mid-Atlantic Fiero Show Within A Show" like we've done at Carlisle for so many years.

Fieros, swap meet, food, raffles, fun! Lots of other makes and manufacturers of cars to enjoy as as well.

And yes, there's drive-in registration the day of the show, but Neffsville increases their portion of the cost by $5 the day of the show. So just avoid that and pre-register by September 10th instead!

If you have any questions, please contact Tom Derr at tom.d@fieropride.com or send us a PM.

Hope to see you there!!!!!!

It looks like one more try to join an MAFOA show in 2014. Its on the calendar and short of any additional unexpected events coming up, should be able to attend. I am very encouraged to see MAFOA going back to its roots and restructuring the clubs events to mirror the fun times of the early 90's.

Right! One more try. Here's to hoping third time's a charm!!

For those of you who want to punch in the address to your nav system:

The Manheim Twp Community Park
200 Petersburg Rd Lititz, PA 17543

Note that even though the park is in Neffsville PA, it's actually serviced by a Lititz post office. No biggie, but just to point that out before someone gets confused.

Or if you want compass points... 40.1067627 -76.3113469

I've heard that the website should be active "very soon" for registrations! Make sure you register through the MAFOA site as this will let us know how many cars to expect so we can plan accordingly.

Looking forward to a great show!!

Registration is now LIVE. You can register for the show by clicking here.*

Registration via MAFOA enters you into the show and the Fiero portion of it. It also garners you lunch (via concession tickets). The club would also like to invite participants to bring a side dish or dessert to share in conjunction with the burgers provided by Neffsville. Once registered, you will receive an e-mail about this portion of the event.

Looking forward to seeing you in September!

MAFOA BOD

* If you have an iPad or iPhone, the site is currently Flash (in the process of being updated) so you will have to go to this link to register if you cannot use the regular site.

Hi All,

Just a quick bump for the end of weekend crowd. Help us plan a bigger and better show by pre-registering as soon as you can. If pre-registrations warrant, we will definitely build in more classes. We're looking forward to seeing everyone soon!

Dennis, Things sure haven't gone according to plan for you leading up to the last few shows, so here's to hoping that things hold together for you. You've had quite the string of unfortunate surprise events!

If there's anything I can do to help, please just let me know.

Thank you Bruce for your kind understanding. Everything was good on this end in the car hobby for the summer with two exceptions.- a cousins wedding on the same day as the Lititz spring show and a missed connection in Chicago that caused us to arrive back from vacation a day late -the Saturday afternoon of the show. Was pre-registered for that event so at least the club received some support.
My Fiero is running great and has been showing up at cruise nights in this area. We are always the only Fiero in attendance. Except for a few friends here, there is not much Fiero activity in NJ right now. I guess many NJ Fiero owners enjoy owning garage queens and don't drive them.
Neffsville should be a go and I will pre-register next week.
Now pre-registered and ready to cruise. .

Unfortunately I am not going to be able to make it on the 20th of September. A buddy from our MG club passed away recently and his memorial service is going to be in Northern Penn. that same day. I will be with you in spirit and thinking of Mike, as he also knew George. They are now together in that big road course in the sky.

Can't wait for next Saturday, looks like it's going to be a good turnout for this show. If you haven't registered Neffsville pre-reg deadline is the 15th for the $15 fee. I've already sent in our pre-registration list, but if you register on www.MAFOA.com or contact me. I can still take Paypal for the lesser $15 fee and forward them the infomation before the 15th. Or you can contact them yourself at neffscarshow.com. Getting a little late to mail in an entry for the deadline and day of show is $20. Don't miss out as this is a great mixed show with free food tickets and raffle tickets last year and I assume this year for your entry fee.

Nice pics from last year BruceW. I see my silver 85GT in the one and one of my all time favorite cars., a '65 red Sunbeam Tiger. in another.

Folks, this will be the last MAFOA show before the cold weather sets in and shuts down the hobby until next spring. It is a great opportunity to take a cruise through the country side, enjoy driving your prize possession and meet up with some great Fiero owners. So take the plunge, get out of that easy chair, start your engines and come on down. You will enjoy the show, you will see interesting cars, and its always FUN!

Hi all,

A quick "official" update:

The show is just over a week away and we are looking forward to a great turnout with a lot of familiar faces, some new faces and even some faces we haven't seen in a few years!

Next week we will post out a map with specific parking information and other last minute details. This year the club has procured the pavilion towards the back of the park near the baseball field across from our friends in Susquehanna GTOs. We also have many members who have also registered to bring swap meet items so don't forget your wish list and wallets!

The schedule for the day is:

8-11 AM: Registration
11 AM - Noon: Participant Judging
Noon - 1:30 PM: Lunch
1:30 PM - 2:00 PM: Awards
2:00 PM - 2:30 PM: MAFOA Annual Meeting

Pre-registration numbers are great and we're looking forward to putting on another great show! If you still wish to register, please contact Bruce H (Fierobruiser) at bruce.h@fieropride.com . Also, feel free to PM with any questions. See you soon!

Everyone is welcome! And even if you haven't pre-registered, you can still come on out and have a great day! Just show up and pay at the gate. I think the Neffsville folks ask for a little more entrance fee if you drive in cold the day of the show, but it's not much more. Five bucks or something more. Tell them you're with MAFOA, look for the pavilion and the big group of Fieros and join us!

Saturday, September 20th, 2014
The Manheim Twp Community Park
200 Petersburg Rd Lititz, PA 17543

Here's a pic of the park hosting the show. The entrance to the park loop is at the bottom off Petersburg Rd (also called Rte 722). The Fiero show will be in the north east corner of the park. Go in the entrance, follow the loop around (not sure if it's the same direction every year, but it was clockwise last year) until you get to the the pavilion area shown in the upper right of the pic:

Below is some information for this Saturday's Fiero Dutch Classic at Neffsville. Although it's too late to pre-register, day-of-show entries are still welcomed and will cost $5 more to the Neffsville Rotary Club. At $20 for a show that includes great prizes and a free lunch, it's still a good deal.

The post above this one contains a map detailing the location of the Fiero show and swap meet. This year the club has procured the pavilion towards the back of the park near the baseball field across from our friends in Susquehanna GTOs. The park road is a large loop. Upon entering center front, bear right and go past buildings. As you clear all the stands and venders keep going past the regular show field. As you approach the back of the park you will see a baseball field on your left and a large pavilion on the right in the corner....that's us

The schedule for the day is:

8-11 AM: Registration
11 AM - Noon: Participant Judging
Noon - 1:30 PM: Lunch
1:30 PM - 2:00 PM: Awards
2:00 PM - 2:30 PM: MAFOA Annual Meeting

Looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday!

The show is open 9AM - 4PM

No chance you can get it put back together before the show? Have you ever practiced driving without using the clutch?

There should be a lot of people around the Fiero Pavilion. Make sure you get noticed!

It was already hard limping it home in 3rd when i made the move to pa dont really want to push my luck and damage the transmission. I thought about making it a trailer queen and just start it in 1st to move it since its not torn apart yet but still dont want to chance it anymore then i have. Think i need to make a shirt that say " my fiero is being worked on or in the shop". That way i do stand out. Lol does anyone know if there is a fee to get into the show or is it free to just walk around and drool.

I'm not positive because I've always entered a car, but I don't think there's a fee to get in as a spectator just to drool. There's a parking lot area next to the park for spectators and I assume there's a fee to park there, but I don't know how much. Would be silly for it to be even close to the cost to enter a car, right?

Don't damage your car, and make that shirt!

Hi All,

If you are coming for the swap meet without a Fiero, let the folks at the gate know this and they will direct you to our parking area. The organizer said you can get in either line (pre-registered or day of) for swap meet parts vehicles. I'm not sure if this will affect anyone since our pre-registered swappers are bringing Fieros, but wanted to share just the same.

Also, I do believe spectators are free! Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Thanks for the forecast Dennis. You're right. Weather looks like a great day for a show!

Bring your cars if you can. Come hang out even if you can't. Buy some parts. Sell some parts. Have a burger.

.....................and hopefully we will get some of the "arm chair" Fiero hobbyists active again. Cars shows are fun, especially when Fieros are there.

All right Dennis, I am not sure what category I fall into, but I will be there.

I'll be the one sitting in the "Arm Chair".
