Well, it has been a while since I was last on the forum, and the
last time was when I was painting my Fiero with rattle cans...
It turned out ok, but I need to put some work in making it better.

HOWEVER...

I need to do an engine transplant!

My 2.5L died last fall. I was driving home from visiting relatives
one night, and I had noticed oil on the ground before I left.
I filled the oil, as it was down a couple of quarts, and didn't give
it much thought, as the car had made it there, and should make
it back with no problems....

WRONG!!

I got 15 miles from home when the engine started going bad.
It ended up getting trailered home that night.
The next day, I refilled the oil, it was down four quarts, and
started the engine. Oil was blowing out the oil pressure sender!
Not to mention the oil smoke and rod knock... The 2.5L was toast.
But it now gives me the incentive to install a 3800 Buick!

Nice thing is, I have the engine, wiring harness, and ECM, I just
need to pull them from the car and transplant it into the Fiero.
I can't wait to drive it! I miss my Fiero, and it will be nice having a
6 cylinder with extra power!

Hey great to see a West Michigan fellow Fiero owner back. I used to work in Lowell. I had an 88 base coupe and then 87 GT while I was working at Wittenbach. My little avatar picture was taken at Wittenbach.
