A good handful of real Ferrari Testarossas were turned into permanent roadsters (not standard convertibles) in the US. They were very popular on the West coast and in Florida when the Testarossa was still relatively young. It's also a good way to get into a real Testarossa, as the ones that were hacked up to become roadsters usually go for slightly less change than normal.

This was likely a standard Testarossa kit car that somebody just cut the roof off of and made into a roadster. No different than how you would make a normal Fiero into a roadster, just you're dealing with a kit car here.

That was a kit you could buy for the Fiero. I just packed away a magazine which shows both hard top & convertible models available less then an hour ago. 2nd child on the way so computer room is bust. Cleaning out books, magazines & other junk, remember just looking at it, think it was on the cover of Kit Car.

Had to go back into the box, it was called the Argenta Fiero from Pacific Motor Sports, Anaheim, CA

Looks to be a Turbo 2.8, car is needing so TLC, also looks like there may have been some front end damage and not repaired right (nose gaps are off).

In the article, there are shots of the nose and there is an air vent in the chin spoiler right under the driver side turn signals

Seems someone has changed all the badges though, the kit never had Ferrari or Testarossa anywhere on the car, it has Fiero Agenta badges.

I actually like the roadster better than the hard top. The hard top looks too short. The roadster is better proportioned.
