pretty sure my fiero won't make it to the Dells after all...*sigh* but I'm definitely still going ! along with my dad and my boyfriend, Jason. so excited!!! I hope I can still get my free t-shirt even if I don't have a car in the car show....>.> we already registered.....lol
I just finished waxing the 88GT, she's all ready to go.

If the 10 day weather forecast holds up, I might actually make it on the 2nd. My GT isn't that pretty with the paint fading away, but it's plenty good mechanically.
Ok... "Official" Minnesota (South-Suburbs) meeting point & plan...
We are meeting Thursday morning at the Holiday Station Store in Lakeville off County Road 70 (2100 Kenrich Ave, Lakeville, MN 55044) at 10am. We will be departing at 10:30am heading East to Hwy 52, then south through Rochester to I90 - and taking that East, where it meets up with I94 for the remainder of the drive to WI Dells [Route Link]. We are hoping to just eat a late lunch once we arrive in the Dells area!
The Fiero ran like a champ on the way to work, charged the whole way! Should have changed the alternator 7 years ago when I bought the car. The thing was so clogged with greasy dirt it would only really charge for about 15min before it would overheat and drop out.
Man I love me a two day work week. Only 48 hours until we leave the house for the meet up and run to the Dells.
As previously mentioned, my dad's 88 GT will definitely be there. We have an 80% chance of my little car making it at this point. She WILL be there if we acquire a gas tank by Friday!
No matter what happens, dad and I are rolling in on Friday evening! We're not sure if we'll make it in time for dinner but we'll certainly try!
------------------ I'm a poor post-college student because I own a Fiero and try to keep it running!
I made it part way today. 120 miles of torrential dowpour in Florida's I-75 thanks to the tropical storm. Then it got beastly hot and humid, but the AC worked. I stopped three time (every 200 miles) for gas. $3.579 in Florida, and $3.259 in Georgia and Alabama.

I think I have one I will pm you my number call me tomorrow night so I remember
I am hoping it is just the thermostat that was stuck closed, but I overheated the car and blew coolant all over I-694 yesterday afternoon...
After cooling down, starts and runs with no noises, just slowly marches towards the red. I don't know if I can trust it not to blow a head gasket after an event like that... currently the thermostat housing outlet hose doesn't seem to be warming up with the engine. I made it off the freeway with short bursts on the shoulder...
KEV is going to head to my house to day to swap the thermostat and refill the system to see if it is correct. The head gaskets on a 25 year old car after over heating still worry me.

All the way from Moorhead without any issues; must be the car's color! If I knew you were driving today, I would have warn one of my Shipman hats. Sorry for the glare.
