They're homemade - local friend who works in a body shop helped make them.

We got a lot of static testing done yesterday & about 10 miles test driving.

Not much to take pics of yesterday but have some pics of the exhaust system I'll post.

Doing final reassembly of the interior, coil covers, A/C connections & recharging & deck lid installation this morning.

A full day of test driving this afternoon.

More pics & video tonight.

I don't have anything capable of weighing the the cradle/SBCengine/trans we removed & the cradle/LS3engine/trans that we installed.

However, some time ago, I looked up the weight difference between a cast iron SBC block & an Aluminium SBC block & the difference was about 85#.

So I'd say the car lost about 85#.

I keep convincing myself I dont want to chop my car, and then I watch video of one and it starts all over again. What a beautiful car, and a great engine swap. Kudos to everyone on this one.

Cheers,
Rich

Made it back safe and sound - drove straight through from Rockford (open trailer) and got in here around 3:30AM - rained the whole way, so I have some major cleanup to do before any shows. Thanks to Archie, Rob and Chris for thier hard work getting it done in 5 days!

Lots of thums up and smiles and camera phone pics It makes changing lanes a PITA - the gawkers stay even with the trailer and you're boxed in! Every gas stop takes extra time to answer questions

Smoother down low, stronger by far up to 1/2 throttle, which is as far as we went until I get some break in miles on the engine/clutch. Sixth gear with the larger tires also gives a nice highway overdrive. The new exhaust has a deeper, more mellow sound which I like better than the old straight thru mufflers. I plan on driving/enjoying it a lot from now on! No D10 - too far away (11 hours each way). I am going to try to make it to Carlisle with our local club this summer.

Thanks. I called the owner of #025 today (David) and he too isn't bringing his car, but will attend the show. I guess D10 won't have any chop tops in attendance... again.

Well, after 10 days of cleaning to get the tow slop all cleaned up, I look forward to chalking up some break-in mileage on # 10 this weekend. We did the indoor kart racing at Va Beach last Saturday for our monthly club meeting and had a blast as usual
