Hold your horses, event ended 15 hours ago, no videos have been posted yet.
The OL03 number can be verified here: http://www.bhra.ee/register/?page=37&lang_id=2&
Correction to the lifting ft. It was at 330 meters, so about 1000ft, rear end started fishtailing.

That's because Don Kraus hasn't solved his transmission problems and bolted a turbo on his 427. Just kidding though. I like any fast Fiero, but we need to stoke the 3800 vs V8 fires. I fully expect Fog to go quicker and faster. Same thing for DC Plasma. I have my doubts about a Fiero ever breaking into the 8s, but we'll see, you guys are amazing.

The torque at the wheels is bending all the suspension components and it will toe in a lot when power is applied. So I statically toed out rear end, it is fine until the torque falls off at third gear and also in braking area. I need to do something about the struts and the rear steering rods. I already have aluminium bushings on the cradle and on the LCA-s.

Nice job, Fog! Congrats on becoming the new fastest Fiero.

If you're bending the suspension components, it may be time for a custom rear suspension.

I would have expected a bit faster 660 time? 6.2 is about right for a 9.7.

Congratulations FOG. It is quite the accomplishment.
Now, do you need the all the 9 second safety gear.... certified chassis, etc... or do you have that already?

Well, DC Plasma needs to go out and beat 9.7? Hmmmm....

Of course you need to, the healthy competition will stick me to go even faster

My car is certified for 8.5 I already have the gloves, suit, trans blanket, cage, sfi helmet, window net, socks, chute, sfi flywheel, sfi damper, etc etc...
This is just a start, I still have 300 more horses left in the engine, but I want to take it slow and not get killed in the process. If the rod ends are bending, I need to impreve them, not turn up the boost.

The engine has been tortured with 32psi of boost in GN before me. This run was merely 20psi

I had edited my previous post to say that I had doubts about an 8 second Fiero. Now I'm not so sure. In fact I see a distinct possibility.

I saw the video above, is that your 1.57 second launch or was this a different track/video?

the 1.6 run was super disappointing.. Just a stupid safety I put in there held me back from my 9....

Powerlog failure is just an assumption at this point... it looks to have failed around the "far end'' like nosracs did.

130# valvesprings, MLS headgaskets... otherwise stock heads/motor. Trans has a 1inch chain and some other zzp parts in it.... its a really really nice transmission.

Thought you were running a GM racing trans? Trans brake would be awesome for turbo car.

What converter are you running? 2.93 gears I assume? How tall a tire?

Don't think I'll make 142 mph on my 26.11 drag radial and 3250 stall converter, too much slip for the ST1 cam to stay in the power band. See what happens next weekend...

My 3000 converter goes to 0 rpm loss without lockup at the top of 3rd, so I get a full 6700 rpms cruising out with just my 26 inch tires, 3.29 gear... I hope to squeak out a 146 soon (just to beat up on a friend of mine).

Not a GMR trans...

141.9 mph is only 6039 rpm with 26" tires and 3.29 gears, if your running 6700 rpm through the trap that's like 11% slippage, better than my ~20 at 6100 but still more than a normal rwd car with good converter. 6700 rpm with zero slip on your setup would be like 158 mph.
