Write a PM to SuperchargedV6, he owns the site and usually keeps registrations closed because of all the bogus registrations he gets.

Hey Rick, as I continue to contact and obtain information on all 88 t top fieros, (I have been gathering since 1991) when I contact them "the best result" for me is to ask for the vin# because I would like to check carfax to find out if it has been hit at all and or I ask to see the rpo tag on the inner fender well, because I want to make sure it is a true t-top car (in your case a true pace car) I have found them to give you the information 8 out of 10 times and then in return out of the blue (I don't tell them this in my first email) but then send a email and wish them luck and tell them I hope the info I sent you help you sell the car. They are thankful for it. This may help you in your quest.

I believe #23 was a friend's car.

He bought it new and it was the very first Fiero to have the engine changed with only 26 miles on the odometer. The block somehow was casted with no water jackets and the engine overheated and blew on his way home from the Pontiac dealer.

The engine was replaced under warranty after the dealer called Detroit, Pontiac sent one or two of their engineers out and it took 4 weeks to get an engine. At the time, because it was so new, no one knew how to change the engine. As I remember, it was a real fiasco.

He owned the car up until about 5 or so years ago.

Not sure if anyone is still watching this. I just bought an Indy tonight. I do NOT see it in the list that is in this thread - and the resgistry website appears to be gone. Based on VIN mine appears to be somewhere between #1896 and #1903

Its an auto, power windows, mirrors, locks, cruise - now in the Chicago suburbs. Bought in Michigan on 12/20/18. 69,100 original miles. Nearly mint except needing a headliner and drivers bolster hole. Was owned by a guy in his collection of his families car dealer. Its been parked since the late 90s and been in heated storage its whole life. The dealership was closed and the son was liquidating the inventory of his brother that had run the dealership until he died in 1998. Drive it 126 miles home, getting 36mpg. Needs maintenance items and the 20 year old tires rattled my teeth all the way home. But, its nearly the cleanest Fiero I have ever owned and this is my tenth - and first Indy...
