For those of you that have this system, you know this is the best system, the sound and quality is second to none! If I do this, this will NOT be a pre-buy, I will order for stock. This would be the 2 piece cat back system, with tips. The price would be $825.00 plus shipping (35.00 to 80.00 based on location, 48 lower only) Price is high because of the low quantity order. I’m only planning to order 25-50 systems.

Fieroparts, I have wanted a Borla exhaust for my Fiero for many years. I missed the boat the first time around, and would be very interested if they were available again.
I have a couple questions: 1) Just to clarify, would the entire system (muffler and tubing) be made by Borla, using mandrel bent 304 tubing? 2) I am aware that the original systems were designed off the 85-87 V6 exhaust, and there were fitment issues on the 88s. I have an 88 and would like to know if you plan to have these made either for 85-87 and a separate version for 88? Or would they be made in a way that the intermediate pipe would be bent to follow a routing that would accommodate all Fieros?
Interested as well, but need some clarification. Some of the borla systems I have seen the muffler inlet is necked down to a smaller size (there is a thread on it here somewhere) some specs are needed.

I'd have interest. It would be a good idea to have it fit 85-87 V6s and 88 specific exhaust too.
Unless we have a universal exhaust to fit all years. The most important is the brackets would have to be in the stock positions for a simple (OEM) style installation. If not, I'm out.
The Ocelot cat back from TFS wasn't a direct 30min installation job. I wouldn't wanna pay for an exhaust that you have to fiddle 5 hours just to install. Probably just be to make one, at that point. ------------------ fierogt28

The system includes Borla's XR1 racing muffler, stainless steel pipes and tips. Borla uses T-304 aircraft quality stainless steel and builds each system by hand insuring the best quality workmanship possible. This system installs on all Fieros. Hanging clamps (included) some will need to be welded on as per your application. We have never had anyone out of the 107 systems we sold notified us of any fitment issues, that is why we had the one or two of the clamp brackets left off, so it fits all years. I think others may have had the system tweaked. These will be built the same way as our first order was.

You are correct, our second run of 50 systems were built with a cosmetic flaw, the pipes going to the muffler was not inserted in correctly. We made this very clear to all of our customers before the purchase. The price was reduced to reflect this cosmetic flaw.

I would be interested since my muffler is shot and the tubing is rusting away. Since it is made out of stainless steel and the mounting tabs on which you hook up the springs would already be welded on (if i understood correctly). This is why i have more interest in this product over the ocelot one that the Fiero Store offers.
Does the exhaust include the ''head down'' pipe that connects from the Y-pipe to the rest of the exhaust (the part that the catalitic converter needs to be welded on)???
Thank you, Fred

If that is the case, then I would be VERY interested in getting one of these. Fieroparts please keep this post alive until you make a final decision on this possibility. If there is not enough interest and you decide to not get these made, please let that be known here.
Thank you!

Order was placed last week with Borla. Yesterday I get a call from Don letting me know they canceled the production of this system after the last run in 2005. Why... I asked, well it was from the company that did last run of production, (I think that was TFS) they had the system tweaked and as a result they way too many calls to Borla with fitment issues.
So that ends that!

Nice setup. Is that a Borla XR-1 Sportsman or XR-1 Multicore? I have the Sportsman on my 2013 Ram and I love it.
You'd have to ask Fierobsessed. I know it sounds fantastic. You would never guess thats a turbo L67 in my car. It doesn't have the typical 3800 tractor sound.
Nate you asking about my exhaust?

I had a custom T304 SS 3" system made using a Borla XR1 muffler and it is fantastic and sounds fantastic! Credit to Fierobsessed!
Honestly, this system looks really well built. If this exhaust fits perfectly it should be a good start for someone to make 20 of them. Looks strait foward and simple design. Even if it doesn't look like the original system, as long as it fits and lasts longer, this different design may be better than the OEM pipe routing. Nice 3" tubing all the way.
