For sale is my 1987 gt with 82000 miles. it has a lq4 6.0L installed and runs great. $4500 obo

Ill start with the exterior.

Overall the body paint is in good condition. There are two spots of faded clear coat on the roof. Also a chip on the corner of the sunroof. there are some other minor scuff marks and the front bumper is good except for one small spot that the clear is pealing.
Both quarter windows have seen better days and are cracked. The rear taillight lens is in perfect shape. No major damage at all.
The front right headlight tries to pop up but the gears are striped, so they will need to be replaced.

The interior is in good shape. leather seats, new floor mats. The carpet, headliner, door panels are in good shape .There is a wear mark on the drivers side leather seat. The ashtray lids are missing. The radio all works except I pulled the subwoofer speaker cause it was cracked and never got around to replacing it and for some reason the rear hatch button doesnt work.

The engine swapped into the car is 2003 6.0L using v8 archie adaptors and axles. The engine runs great. Engine computer and wiring harness was by street and performance out of arizona. It has custom jba headers and the exhaust sounds great! Not to loud. centerforce clutch and mezinier water pump. The transmission shifts great. Both shifter cables have been replaced. CV support bearings are installed and the battery is relocated up front under the spare tire.

Both front and rear shocks have been replaced as well as the back brake pads. It does need the front ball joints replaced according to the alignment shop. The rims have some scratches but not to bad. The tires are getting worn and will need to be replaced .

Im sad to see her go but I need a car that gets good mpg for work. Its is a good car and the next owner will enjoy it.

I can take more pictures and answer any questions you may have. Thanks for looking!

Wow looks like my car. Same color, has sunroof, has the paint faded in almost the same spots.

Is the rust on the frame rails or trunk?

Are willing to ship?

Who did the install?

How long ago? How many miles on the install? On the engine?

Stock getrag 5speed?

I've never delt with shipping cars before. I don't know how that process works.

I installed the motor. Exhaust was installed by a local shop.

Finished the install about five years ago and have put about five thousand miles on it since then.
When installed the engine had 20k miles on it.

The transmission is stock except for the axle support bearings.
I'll consider a trade for a 1992-95 Honda civic CX or hx. Only if the car is around where i live. They seem to get the best gas mileage.

If anything else please ask. Thanks.

I have to ask. Why that engine? Did you just have an extra one sitting around?

I wanted a newer reliable motor that I could possibly boost someday. With the lower compression I could keep the stock internals. In my area they are plentiful and if I didn't want it anymore I would just switch it out for a higher horsepower ls1. I really like the way it runs and any more power would be too much for the car IMO.

300hp is too much fir this car? Are you mad at my 360tq on a 200lb lighter V6? V8 guys are different. I hopy you sell your car. You're priced right.

I wasn't trying to be ugly. I just thought it was an odd swap for the hp/weight. You should totally boost that engine. I could see it getting silly. $4500 is totally a great price though.

305 HP and 360 ft lb is not weird to me. Its a good motor. The block is lighter than the old school 350. Not as light as a v6 of couse.

Why would you want just the parts to do the swap when you can have the whole car? Forgot to add in the description the ac is not working. All the wiring is still there as well as the lines forward of the engine compartment.
