I am shaking my head, too All this time, money (well over $20k) and you don't even get to enjoy it. It doesn't have to be "either" a Fiero or Vette! They are apples to oranges comparison. Your Fiero is going to be a cool, classic oddity at any car show or parking lot. A Vette, while a great car, has no "personality" per se, unless it is heavily modified or more than 30 years old in pristine condition.
As you know, I am considering buying a Boxster S but the Porsche, like a Vette, is a dime a dozen and has no real personality in the "hobby" sense. For me, part of the fun of old cars is the hunt for elusive parts, trying to modify and improve on performance, and keeping it alive year after year.
Good luck with the sale, but I really hope you change your mind and end up keeping it.

Hey there Tim hows things ?? did you get that sexy looking supercharger done yet ?? anyways need to move on in life, sure i can keep the car but much rather see someone enjoy it, I live in a condo where parking is a pemium and I am so worried it will get broken into or stolen, I am asking a good buck for it so i dont see it selling fast but like everything in life it has a price tag and if i get it then i will let it go, Honestly I keep driving by a GM dealership and seeing this 2011 brand new ZO6 in Orange and i want it bad so bad i will part with the fiero just to get it !! Tim i hope all is well and send some more top secreat pics of your build to my email !!

I have yet to get the snout rebuilt and done in the same paint scheme. Then its time to drop it all out and start pulling it apart to make it look pretty!! Two small boys under 2 keep me pretty busy right now...I have a spare cradle to make pretty at work.. Its fun to have a sand blaster and an acid dunk tank to make **** shiny again...I hope to have some in progress pics here with a month or so and i will be sure to send them to you..
I remember seeing the 3.4L Fiero you had a few years back. If this car is anything like your old one then it's got to be immaculate.
I hope you get what you're asking for it - stick to your guns!

Thanks my 86 car is actualy still around and looks as good as the day i sold it . new owner Mike loves it ! Like the 86 i had my 88 is prestine condition and the tastefull mods, make it a real show car ! I am not dropping the price a dime like my add says i will keep it and show it at local events i may go to the GM nationals this year with it and maybe fireorama thats if its not already sold !!
Like my 86 car my 88 has no issues at all ,Mike has owned my 86 for 5 years with not a single problem at all and that car must have over 250,000 km on it by now also a rust free car built right !! My 88 has 51,000 miles was a sothern USA car zero rust anywhere and will not hesitate to put the car up on a hoist to show undercareage ,and engine and trani no leaks anywhere I just did the axle seals 2 months ago, and the entire front of the car was re painted 3 weeks ago,

I still love the car and i would hurt a bit if i never saw the car again after all the hard work and time into this car but , I have limited parking here at my condo and its a worry to me all the time it will get stolen or broken into so i would be happy to see it go to a safe garage in a house i am attending a show this weekend with the car and was out in it the other night and she runs great ! I have donr this before built a car and then sold it so this is nothing new to me ! I know i am asking a good buck for this car but if you see it in person you will understand , and i have seen Skitimes car many years ago and mine compares to his in build quality minus all the neon lighting cut outs and with my 100% factory super clean interior, i put it up there with the top builds,

I garrantee you'll be back here on PFF looking for another 88GT, 4-5 months after you sell this one. You'll be kicking yourself in the butt down the road. I see this happening to people too many times.

To make it easier I can go to border with new owner, i just wait till he pays the duty and off we go or he can do it ahead of time and I just sail across later on
Bump !! Thanks for the interesting PMs not realy looking to do any kind of trade, If you want a show quality car and build with all the go fast goodies then this is the car for you !! I am sure some of my friends up here in Canada will vouch for how nice the car and swap is also trying to upload a few pics taken at a car show this weekend , car gets plenty of attention !

Bump for a nice ride. This is by far the nicest 3800 swap that I have seen here in Canada- everything was done professionally. If I didn't have my car already, I would buy this thing...
I have looked underneath, inside, outside....this car is perfect in every way. I still think Duane is trying to compensate for something with those big tailpipes..but that is another thread

nice car... if I had the cash I'd look into it.. sadly you'll be up against vettes for sale as the economy had made getting a vette allot cheaper.. a manual 1985-89 is 2000-9000 for a fairly nice one.. and an ls swap is 2k.. and you have a very fast vette.. for 11k, if you by right a guy can build a fast vette for 5k.. this is what your up against.. nice car.. good luck

Beautiful job and lots of extras but IMO the market for a $15,500 Fiero is a select one. If you find a buyer, the Fiero sickness will not allow you to stay away for long. Last I heard even Skitime was getting ready to buy another one. Just ask Steve how it works. He's owned them all: 3800SC, 4.9L a turbo Duke Fiero and now a 3.4L TDC. I wouldn't know what to do with my spare time had it not been for my Fieros.
