Ha, Hoping to find that out myself... (didn't hear from seller yet regarding my PM and hopeful purchase :-)

I have a little leeway with the V8 but I'd think 400's would be pretty firm...

I hear ya'

You know.... it's weird, I've heard of people using 375's and "Love them". Others saying 350's and 375's are "too soft for a v8". Then someone will chime in and say their 300's are too harsh . After that someone says that their 300's are too soft!

Originally I was going to use the 350's I have here (which I may just wind up doing), but after I posted for some opinions, I got people saying anything from 275-500 ! Very confusing. I used 275's on my last V8 swap and they seemed pretty soft. I'm guessing 325-350 would be the best bet.

But I'd still pick up the set for the struts (No PM from the seller yet but hey,, we're all busy and I'm not exactly in a huge rush...)

Everyone has a different opinion for a soft to hard ride. This all depends on what you trying to achieve, a close to stock ride or a car that will be used for occasional track days. Having the weight of the 3800 with fully intercooled turbo setup would be probably close to a 350 SBC weight. In my opinion the 400 lb/in springs provided a comfortable street ride, which could still be used for a track day.

Agreed. I actually prefer on the firm side. We have a BMW 528 and a 540. Pretty heavy cars. The 540 has about the same ride / little bit firmer, the 528 is a "bag of mush" as far as handling but "cloud soft" on the highway. (I'd rather be in the 540. - Of course the V8 helps....)

I pm'd you in case you didn't see it.
