I bought this trans thinking that I had more time with the car. I'm moving in less than a month, and selling my sbc fiero in another thread.

This is the original thread where I bought the trans.

I want to get $200 out of it. I'll deliver it for gas money. (I'd be delivering it in the trunk of my 2010 Corolla, so gas is not a big deal.)

Comes with a torque converter, shifter, and axles.

Damn... So tempting.
Are the electronics already swapped around to work with the Fiero TCC relays and etc...?

According to the person I bought it from, it has been in a fiero. I would assume so, but cant be sure. It's not been in my fiero. The speedometer connection look right for fiero. It is the version with the removable pigtail wiring, also.

I would think KC would probably be too far for delivery, but would you consider shipping it?

Thanks,
Chris

would this bolt up to my duke and would the axles be the right length for mounting in stock location?

I'm guessing that this is the tranny that was in Her86GT's turbo 4.9 GT.
If Pete built it, it's probably as bulletproof as a 4T60 can get.

Edit - It will bolt up to a duke or a 2.8. The Fiero axles are different. At least the passenger side is.
This is well documented in numerous places, however, and not a big deal to find.

This will bolt up to a Duke, but it's not a good idea. I love this transmission, have had 2 of them in Fieros so far, but it sucks up too much power to use with a Duke. It would be painfully slow and wouldn't net you much improvement in gas mileage because the engine would be working so hard. I wouldn't recommend this for anything less than a 2.8l.

BTW, that's also a great price. Just the axles and whatnot are worth about what he's asking. I'm tempted to buy it and sit on it until a local requests I install one, as has happened to me twice now.

Well I am pretty sure a duke has almost as much torque as a 2.8l....

I'm not a fan of the 2.8 either. Is I ever own another fiero, it'll be an 88 duke/Isuzu. My favorite of all the ones I have ever owned.
