Thought I would post it here - http://washingtondc.craigsl...d/cto/934583684.html

$4200 or Best Offer (or even a trade for a really nice GT)

I completed installing a new Jasper remanufactured 3.4 engine in this 1988 Formula along with replacing most of the rear of the car with coated parts. The Jasper engine normally costs $2400 alone plus a core. This one only has 1,500 miles on it so far. The lambo hinges were $1300 - then later welded in place so they are solid.

The car is running great - ready to go!

The interior is fantastic (leather seats, etc).
Tires only have a few thousand miles on them.
Rear cradle was replaced and coated in Por-15.
Rear suspension has new poly and painted control arms.
Paint is very nice.
Sunroof.
A/C blows cold.
Cruise control.
Power windows and locks.
New RedTop battery installed.
Only 85,000 miles.
Auto trans.
Ported exhaust manifolds
Lambo hinges include brand new heavy duty struts. Hinges are welded in. Not just bolted.

I am ONLY selling it because I need it for an investment property and I don't love notchies. Otherwise, I would be keeping this gem and driving it to work every day. My damn renters are not paying on time.

Note - one of the photos shows a large decal on the hood. That hood has been replaced with a new one - painted with 7 coats of red with 2 coats of clear. Photo is to show off the lambo hinges.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks for looking!

Andrew

I'll consider trades for a 3800SC even thought my wife will kill me. Although I doubt a nice one will come along for trade, I figured I'd throw that out there.

Either I'm blind or you failed to mention what transmission it has.

Thanks - I'll correct that. It has no trans included. Just a hole in the floor to drive it like the Flintstones.

OK - I fixed it! It now has an auto trans. I do, however, have a Getrag, shifter, cables and a slave cylinder if the buyer is interested.

Thanks for pointing that out, rpo.

I can personally testify thy car is super clean and sounds great. It'll be a good deal and a great driver for anyone.

I can also say yeah, his wife will kill him.

As an added bonus for going over there, his wife may come prancing around in her bra. That's worth going to look at the car right there.

Ha! Thanks, Marine.

I'll get her outside posing on the car in her bikini if it gets a sale!

If I can't sell it, I'd also consider a trade for a really nice GT. I really like the fastbacks much better. Lambo doors are not my thing, either. I am too tall to fight the doors every time I get in it.

Bump for the holiday weekend. This would make a GREAT Christmas gift for someone!

How about going overboard with the PFF Secret Santa stuff? What a surprise that would be...

I'm telling you all, this car is worth way more than he is asking. I've seen it myself. The outside looks like a new car and the inside is pretty much perfect. She purrs like a kitten and I'm sure has some get up and go. The work is all done for you!

I can also attest to Saxman's workmanship. We completed an engine swap over a weekend. I know he is very thorough and would not let any loose ends untied. This car would be a great daily driver or sunny day twisty killer.

I'd buy it if I weren't poor. And he doesn't want my GT.

I just went back and took a look at what you did with my old car ( https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/069880.html ). I'd take that trade! You did some awesome work. Sorry I missed you at Carlisle. Maybe you can make it next year?

Man, I really need to enlist some of you local guys to come help me work on my '88 that I'm painfully-slow-going with! It seems that everyone around here does awesome work!

Sax, if that red auto Formy was another-colored 5-speed GT, I'd have to help you out. Good luck.

88 Fiero GT - garage ornament
'96 Talon TSi AWD - 11.9 @ 116, sorta broke again
'90 Camaro IROC-Z twin-turbo - sorta broke again
'85 Kawi 750 Turbo - sorta broke still
'95 Kawi GPZ1100 - 10 second daily driver, heh
'87 Craftsman 8HP mid-engine mower - WTH?

Thanks! If it were a fastback, I'd be keeping it! I guess I can always look for a bright red fastback clip and then keep her...

Saxman I can keep it in my garage for a few years till you want it back. Look at all the money you would save. And I'll need the key. Good luck.
Free bump

BTW, I have the stock '88 cloth seats in really good shape to put in if the buyer would rather have those.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend! I get to play in the garage later today. Wahoo!

Bump - since I just finished replacing the flexplate with the PROPER one!

Renters are still behind, so I still would like to sell - but trades will still be considered. I'd love to be driving a 3800SC!

I drove this Formula for a while Monday and today. She needs to be aligned after all the rear end replacement, but she feels great! I'll have her at the Fiero meet on Sunday in DC for some more pics to post.

Thanks for looking! Make me an offer!

Car is aligned and runs great! She still has to go because I need a fastback - or some money!

Bump

She's on eBay - item # 330303928929. I guess it takes a while to get in the database so I don't have a page/link for it yet...
