I really want to move on to a 3800SC T-top Fino, but this one has to go first. There are plenty of threads on here to show some of the work I did on this one. Here is the CraigsList listing:
http://baltimore.craigslist.org/car/579487846.html

$10,400 - or make me an offer. I really want to start on my next project so this car has to go!

For sale is my "mid-life crisis" toy. I've had it for a few years now and I have decided to start building another one from the ground up. I can assure you that there is not another Fino anywhere near here. I believe the closest one is located in the Midwest. I also think there are only about 7 of these completed cars in the entire United States - and only 3 are SBCs - and NONE are this color. Regardless, there are not many of them around. I have not raced or pushed this car hard because the engine is not quite broken in yet. I think it needs a good 1,000 miles before I can start pushing her. She also needs to have the engine mount welded down because it is currently bolted down. I won't push it too hard until that mount is welded.

The car is a blast to drive! I took it out a couple days ago, intending to go for a short drive and ended up driving her for an hour. What a blast - and seeing the heads turn is cool, too. Same thing happened yesterday! All the questions at each red light make for an interesting drive wherever I go.

If I don't sell her, then I'll just keep her and continue making improvements. She is not perfect by any means. There are lots of things to be upgraded, polished, painted, dressed up, etc. The suspension is still the original, so that is next on my list.

Here is what I can think of off-hand to describe the car. See more shots at www.finiero.com

-Built on an 84 Fiero chassis (no fire jokes since the original 84 engine is long gone plus those fires were rather exaggerated if you must know the truth)

Drivetrain Mods:
- Chevy 350 SBC - 5.7 liter V8 with 4-speed manual transmission. It is an LM1 engine that reportedly makes around 260 hp and 300lbs of torque in its stock configuration. The car should weigh around 2800lbs, so she moves nice! Only about 500 miles on the engine so far.
- Edelbrock Torker II intake
- New Edelbrock 650 CFM carb
- Custom dual exhaust through Silver Bullet mufflers
- 4-core radiator
- High performance starter
- Racing clutch
- Remote oil filter

Interior Mods:
- Nordskog Digital Dash – tracks ¼ mile, top speed, 0-60 times - all digitally. Has temp, oil pressure, fuel level, tach, speedo digitally, too. $450 at http://www.nordskogperforma...s/detail/dp10002.htm
- V8 Archie’s dash, door, console and firewall kit - No square Fiero dash to be found in here! Actually, the only Fiero part showing on this car is the roof.
- Mr. Mike’s leather seats
- Custom carpet with steel diamond tread inserts
- Green racing pedals accented with green floor/overhead lights
- Green leather-wrapped steering wheel
- Pioneer head unit and speakers with 10” sub on center console
- Power windows and locks
- Remote keyless entry and alarm
Exterior Mods:
- “Sublime” green paint
- V8 Archie’s “Fino” body kit designed by Peter Ashdown
- 16” American Racing Estrella wheels
- Kumho Z-rated tires 225/45/16 front, 245/45/16 rear

- Again, there are things to be fixed/upgraded. The stereo is not the greatest, the digital dash needs some rewiring, the dash needs more work to get the rattles out, paint chips here and there (extra paint included) and other things depending on your taste - but what a fun ride! The sum of the parts is more than the asking price, so the labor is more than free!

Thanks for looking!

Bumping myself here in case it helps. I really wanna start on a Fino or Finale with a 3800SC... built by me, not started by someone else.

Bump for a BARGAIN!

This car could not be built for what Sax is looking to get.

If I had it to spare I would pick this one up

Thanks, McNasty. I appreciate you passing the info on.

For anyone worrying about registering this car in Maryland, it can be done. If you do not want to get an "Antique" registration (emissions exempt - if you are not already in one of the emission exempt Maryland counties) is possible if they do n have to see the car (they want them unmodified).

The best bet is the "Street Rod Vehicle" registration. You agree the car is mostly for show and other events, but you can drive it aroun "occasionally." So, every time I go out in the car would be "occasionally." I think it is $50 every two years, so registration is CHEAP!

I don't know what the rules are in other states, but perhaps Virginia has similar registration policies.

Thanks again!

In PA the Custom registration has a similar restriction, only here it's clearly spelled out that "occasionally" means at most twice a week.

Yeah - if I hadn't put so much time into fixing Cory's inabilities, I wouldn't be able to drive it at all. Like I said - now that I put new tial lights in, I had it out for 2 hours last week with no problems.

BTW, jmarek78, my efforts to warn people about Cory's unbelievably bad GT40 kits (like the one YOU bought) was to help EVERYONE. It certainly helped YOU because you were able to make the calls during your GT40 kit purchase - WHERE YOU THOUGHT IT WAS OK TO DEAL WITH SOMEONE WHO BLATANTLY SCREWED OVER YOUR FELLOW FIERO OWNERS. You are obviously coming on my thread to try to stop a sale of a kit that CORY DID NOT CREATE. He only tried to BUILD the car, which has nothing to do with the quality of Archie's kit. I was able to put my own time and money into getting this car back on the road.

I do not make any false claims on this car. It was built with an Archie body kit, Archie dash/interior and Archie V8 conversion. That means that Cory's crappy fiberglass-work (like the pieces you purchased) have nothing to do with this particular car - making your "sale-killer" post only draw attention to yourself.

My opinion? People like you who blatantly do this kind of thing to other members do not belong on PFF. I know there is another Fiero forum where you will fit in nicely - and you probably already do. WHY EVEN STAY OVER HERE WHEN EVERYONE KNOWS HOW YOU OPERATE?

So, with that, the car is still available, but I will most likely be spending the summer dressing up the engine compartment and working on replacing the original suspension. I doubted the car will sell here because most don't like kits that don't include the original Fiero shape -which is fine with me. To each his own, I always say. That makes this car even more of a rarity.

Cheers!

You're welcome, that's why I posted with a smile

FYI, I have never given anyone on here a negative rating. Can you say the same for yourself? Sorry dude, but I really just couldn't care less about your little green bar. If you think that my link to your post about your own car is a "sale-killer", maybe you should be a little more honest about what you are selling.

See what I mean? Now you try to guestion my integrity based on what? Did I lie to someone about something? I didn't think so. You're just mad because you GT40 kits needs more work than you planned. Something I tried to warn everyone about.

Negs? Yes, I'd give you more than one neg if I could. People like you (who resort to name-calling in the past and misleading posts like these) don't deserve to be here.

Someone told me that you were really Shawn Hammit and I am starting to believe it. If not, you have joined his club. Congrads.

Are you for real? I do realize you'd like to ban me on behalf of PFF, but you don't speak for the rest of the forum. I've bought and sold a number of parts here and met several people from this forum. As far as I know, you are the only person here who has a problem with me. I highly doubt making slanderous and absurdly speculative posts about me is going to help you sell your car.

I linked to your post (shame on me for being so misleading!) to bust your chops a little. Try not to get so bent out of shape about it. Your car is worth the value in parts regardless of whether or not a potential buyer is aware that it was assembled by Cory Reynolds.

I sure wish I could afford to buy it, that is a great car and all the work is already done. The cost to build that car is far more than you are asking for it.

I still want a "V8" ...........................SOUND.

I just added up the parts. Ed, you are right. The totals are below...

$4800 Fino Body Kit
$760 V8 Archie Interior
$3250 V8 Archie SBC Install Kit
$1400 LM1 SBC Engine
$476 Torker II Intake and Edelbrock 650
$800 American Racing Estrella Wheels and tires
$366 Mr Mikes Leather Seats
$450 Nordskog Digital Dash
$350 V8 Archie 4-Core radiator
TOTAL = $12,652 not including paint and body work or any install labor...

Let me rethink this sale. I guess I should just move all the parts over to the T-top car...

Thanks!

Andrew
