Kinda testing the waters right now. Have a '86 SE 2.8 4 speed manual that I am putting up for sale. Bought it to use as a daily driver while I was doing some work 45 min. from home for a few months. Since that is starting to die down I'm thought I'd go ahead and throw it up on the market. When I bought it this summer it was said to just had a rebuilt motor and tranny. It runs and shifts good but idles a few hundred RPM high when cold (vaccum leak??). Clock showed 163,xxx miles when bought and now has pushing 168,000 miles. So I'm guessing motor/tranny has around 5000-6000 miles on it. Very reliable!! Drove it daily 45 min each way. There is an oil leak from one side of the oil pan. Drivers seat has a very small tear in it but is not all torn up like seen on most Fieros. Headlights work!! Has factory removable sunroof. NO cracks in the plastic. Drives nice and straight.
After I bought it I did the following...
New tires
New shocks/struts
Rebuilt calipers
Turned all rotors
New brake pads
New plug wires
New battery
New front wheel bearings
Painted wheels/ground effects
Cruise control does not work
No A/C
temperature control on heater stays on hot?? Flap must be stuck
Horn button padels broke off (damn the bad luck!!)
tear in console as seen in pics
Paint is decent, but has it's flaws. Some chips, some faiding, but not horrible looking
unfortunatly has rust hole in side of rear cargo compartment - But frame/structural/suspension componants and floor are solid.
$1700
