Ok guys i decided its time to sell my fiero. For now, whil eim in college, and working almost 50 hours a week ( traveling every night) i need to get something a little roomier and newer. So im selling my 1986 Pontiac Fiero 3.4 DOHC 4 speed. not to long ago ( sept 110 i drove it to fierorama with 0 problems and a 4 hour drive. I managed 27mpg and was a smooth ride the whole way.
the details are 86 se red/black good grey interior ( camaro seats) 4 speed, spec stage 2 1992 3.4 dohc body has 76,000 on it motor has 105,000 and is rock solid.
Im using my old ebay ad i typed up, no 18's, and new brakes all around with grand am brakes in the rear. Car runs perfect
Up for bid here is a 1986 Pontiac Fiero Se with a 3.4 DOHC engine installed. The car was purchased by myself in late 2004 with 71,000 miles on it. About 3 months ago I spun a rod bearing on the number 4 cylinder. I had a 3.4 laying around and decided that I would go ahead and swap it in. RIMS PICTURE ARE NOT INCLUDED.
The exterior of the car is in an 8/10 condition. There is some very slight sun fading but can easily be waxed away. It is red with the black aero package. The rims are a 15 inch American racing rim with almost brand new tires (95% tread left) 225’s in back and 205’s in front. The car turns heads wherever I go and is definably one of the nicer stock fieros I have seen.
The interior is grey with aftermarket red and black 95 camaro seats. Stock seats that are in good condition will also be included. It also has a Rodney dickman competition short throw shifter. Overall the interior is also an 8/10. Options include tilt wheel, air(not hooked up), manual windows/locks, auxiliary gauges, and sunroof. I also have the sunroof bag and cover for the interior
The engine itself only has 105,000 miles on it with a new timing belt, tenisioner and idler pulley. I myself pulled the bottom end apart and platigauged all of the bearings and got .015” play. The motor is very very solid and has quite a bit of life left in it. I have also replaced the map sensor, o2 sensor, throttle position sensor, fuel filter, spark plugs, spark plug wires, regasketed the motor from the lower intake up, pcv valve, and a few various other things. The exhaust is a magnaflow high flow cat hooked to 2 dynomax bullit mufflers out to 2 camaro chrome tips. It looks and sounds very nice and throaty.
The tranny is a Muncie 3.65 final drive 4 speed with 75,000 miles on it. It is connected to the 3.4 dohc though a SPEC STAGE 2 clutch, cavalier flywheel and brand new flywheel bolts. This combination grabs hard and handles the power of the DOHC very nicely.
The car is very reliable and has given me no problems since the swap 1000 miles ago. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere.
Car is located in fort wayne, Indiana price is $3000 firm..........will consider trades.
edit for pics.....heres a link to my yahoo pics.........
I would like to express interest in the car. If I can convince my dad that we NEED this car, and I could sell my other fiero, I'd consider buying it. I'll get back with you
hey really nice car ..the funny thing is that i'm have the exact same car with same colour scheme ..but its an auto but thats gonna change and i plan on doing the same swap lol ...anyways i was wondering if u have a build thread on ur engine swap on the forum ..if so can u send me the link ..and if not thats all good ..and by the way if u dont't then this will just be a free bump
thanks matt

Those seats look familiar, i believe they came out of a 86GT 3.4L pushrod 4 speed that i picked up
guess your the person MRJ sold them to
id love to get your car off of ya, but the onlything i have i could offer is a 1991 GTP 3.4L with factory 284 5 speed...
lots of small issues with that car.
matthew
id like something like that, but i wanna stay away from 3.4's in other cars, to hard to work on with no time to do it. and yea, i bought the seats off of him, very good seats haha. Thanks for all the postive feedback guys, keep em coming and spread the word. I prefer it go to a fiero enthusiast.
No build thread either sorry, i was to lazy and didnt really have time. If by chance anyone has an acura legend 91 and up id go for that, among others. Still gotta be somewhat sportyish.......4 doors welcome.

how about a 96 oldsmobile achieva v6 4 door with 73k miles
The Achievas were great cars with the V6 in them, and also alot of fun in a DOHC 4 banger with the five speed. I had one and put 300,000 km on it without a problem, lots of room and sporty enough.
Just my opinion

Actually, this is the first nice Fiero I've tried to trade it for. I figured bluebook being $3k + over $1k in addons maybe he'd be interested. Havent put the 3.4 dohc in yet. Soon though, as my 3800sc is finally together and running.

it's a good price for a good car, I just couldn't trade a fastback for a notchback is all. You should've advertised this 2 years ago, then I definitely would've jumped on it
