For Sale: 1987 Pontiac Fiero GT (15?,000 miles on chasis)
Reason or selling.... I have another GT so I have no time to work on this thing and I pickup my new toy in 2 weeks. An 18,000 mile 2001 Ford Mustang GT on the bottle. This thing and one fiero will be plenty!
This car needs work and inspected but it does run and drive and is complete (nothing parted out).
Engine details....(engine bay is is not butchered and insulation still intacted) It has an unknown mileage 3.4 liter V-6 (pushrod) installed and it's hooked up to a automatic transmission. When the motor was installed all intake gaskets were replaced as well as the oil pan. I installed new exhaust manifolod gaskets along with exhaust manifold studs (no more broken exhaust manifold bolts). It does sometimes ping and I couldn't iron out the problem (I adjusted the timing and it got better) I'm thinking the timing could use some more adjustment (I gave up on it). The ping only occurs when warmed up and under aceleration (only slight ping is heard). Also included and installed is a K&N oil and Air filter. The exaust system is fairly new (about 1 year old). There is no CAT but I have a brand-new one that is included and needs installed. **The engine pulls strong and compression readings on the motor showed 160PSI across all cylinders, it does idle high and irratic when first started but when in gear and warm it settles to around 900-1000rpms (no codes)!**
Chassis....(some rust here and there but not too bad in my opinion) New poly cradle bushing were installed at time of swap as well as engine mounts. New front tierod ends were replaced on the passengerside front (driverside included but not installed). steering stabilizer was also replaced along with lower ball joints on both sides up front. Shocks and struts are also only about 1 year old. The tires have good tread left but are alittle hard from sitting. The brakes need servicing (pads and bled) and the ebrake cable needs hooked up at the equalizer (brakes work they are just spongy feeling).
Interior....(Gray) Interior is complete and is nicer then most daily driver Fiero's I have seen (no major cracks or rips that I can think of right now). Included Is a pioneer CD player with pionner speakers in all 4 corners. Cruise, PWD, PDL, RW-defros and P-mirrors all work (windows operate very slowly though). Heater blows HOT but the AC isn't hooked up (never put the compressor on after swap). The seat skins are in good condition as well as the carpeting (which cound use cleaned in some spots....not bad though).
Exterior....(Black and Silver) The paint is in very bad condition (badly faded) and there are scratches here and there with a dime sized hole in the nose. Driverside quarter panel window is cracked as well as the driverside tail light lense corner! Theres not much to say about the exterior other then it needs some work and a paint job BADLY (all panels are intacted though)
closing.... The car needs some work and inspected but it does run and drive. I am looking to get $600.00 for it. The buyer will need to arrange pickup! I wouldn't suggest a long state to state drive without it being checked over first (I do believe it will make a local drive without a problem...I was after all driving this car about 50 miles 2 days a week to work)! I would like this sold as soon as possible so I am alittle flexible on the price but I think it is a steal at $600.00 (SORRY NO TRADES)!
Also note .... I have a pair of really nice GT tail lights that I will include with the car for 100.00 on top of the purchase price. These tail lights are in real nice condition with no delam. I will sell the tail lights seperatly for $175.00!

However the purchaser of the car will get first crack at them concidering he may want them to replace the old crappy ones on the car (if he doesn't opt for them then it will be first come first serve)!

Car is again up for sale. I did lower the price to $500.00! I may entertain other cash offers (NO TRADES)! I really need the room this thing is using up!
If not sold by Friday (9/16) I will rent another garage and keep it! Anyone interested?????

I have been really busy the last 2 days (working 12 hour days and trying to get the lose ends tired up with the new car) so I have't had much time to spend with the sale (I was afraid this would happen this week).
There is currently 1 guy that got ahold of me afew days ago (he was also interested in it from the last week post). If this falls through I will email the next guy in line. I have decided to extend this sale for a week or 2 yet because this is my fault for not being able to dedicate enough time to the sale of this car and my lack of communication with the interested parties!

Im still wondering why I spent my whole day trying to get this car with 120+ calls to your cell after we talked when you were in harrisburg getting your battery in the mustang - and no answer, especially since you said you should be back by 4pm at the latest and we were waiting in Ephrata for you to return our calls. 3 hours of driving around Ephrata waiting for you to answer your phone is no thx. - just returned home after dropping my sister off (2nd driver) and we gave up calling you at 715pm. - hour and 1/2 each way trip now home at 845pm.
My sister wants me to say, unless you were in the hospital or you were in some other way unable to pick up your cell phone to call me to let me know that you were unable to complete this transaction, that this was plain rude to do especially since you stressed that you needed this gone today.
This thing and one fiero will be plenty!
