'87 Fiero GT 5 spd bought from the second owner back in October 1999. Bought my second Fiero GT in 2001. Sold them both
Pontiac builds excitement ain't no bs. I was so excited about that $2000 car I almost couldn't contain myself. I don't think I was that excited when I bought a new C6 Grand Sport.
I am going to get another one next year and restore it

48 Plymouth business coupe. It was almost 10 years old then and didn't run. I wasn't old enough to drive but thought I could get it running before I turned 16. (I grossly overestimated my skills). Wish I'd had one like it at Hot August Nights last week.
78 ford Mustang II King Cobra. 302 4 speed. really kinda gutless considering the size. think the t-tops leaked less with them off than on.. drove it for several years, around 96 pulled it out pulled the tired 302 out and put in a 460 with C6. car sold within a week after i got it on the road. lol gotta love teenagers!!!

My first car was a '69 Camaro Z28. By the time I got it, the engine had already been blown up, and replaced with a 350 from an Impala (I think?). It was black on black, with Outlaw II wheels. After owning it for a little over a month, I totaled it.

1969 Datsun Pick Up 1300 cc four cylinder webber carb and a little four speed. I had to uncover it from black berry vines. Paid 200 bucks. Had no brakes and the clutch was history. Hadn't run since 1979. I got it in 1983. She was a great truck. Ran the piss out of it as only a 16 yr old can.
I kept that little truck until around 92. At that time I welded the fenders o the hood and made a flip up front end. Put a hot can ford 289 with an auto c4 and duallys on the rear.
First time out I ran it on the airport runway in Antioch. Twisted the whole frame. Front right tire barely touched the ground. That poor truck deserved better than me.
91 Toyota Camry my dad bought me as a high school graduation present (2002). He knew since age 12 I wanted an 80s Camaro and he's a GM man, I wasnt upset but looking back he could've got me an iron duke one if he was scared of me having too much HP.
A year later I bought my own car for 450$ a manual 94 Toyota Tercel.
Mine was an ugly grey , just as beat up, but it has COLD A/C

mine was my 86 Fiero SE 2.8.. Got it back in 96. Dad bought it for me for my first car.. I saved up $2000 working all summer bagging groceries. He matched my 2k with another 2k and we bought it..
Still drive it today, it now has a 3.4pr with a turbo..
1977 Dodge Colt, bought for $125, engine replaced for $75, painted road sign yellow with black roof, installed top end KRACO radio (that's right all 2 channels, with eq and a tape deck) drove that thing until I went to college. Dad sold it, last time I saw it, it had haybales in the trunk screaming down my road, maybe 15 years ago. I miss that car

my first FIERO was an 84 4.10 rust free, REGRET selling it. My 2nd Fiero, a rust free 87 notch, REGRET selling. It was a HORRIBLE financial crisis in my life at the time

64 Pontiac Bonneville, the dam thing was a tank and had a radio with a reverb unit that would crash every time you hit a bump but was a hell of a party car, sat 8 comfortable, also had 8 lug nuts on each wheel. here are the wheels I was talking about with 8 lug nuts
notice that the brake drum was the inside of the wheel and the rims were like those of an 18 wheeler, bought a new set of tires when I first bought the dam thing as there was no way I was going to change one of those.

1960 Chevy Brookwood 2 dr station wagon. It had a straight 6 with a 3 sp on the tree and was beat up but still run. I bought it from the neighbor for $10 when he decided has was going to take it to the crusher.

Eh, my first car was an 86 Oldsmobile Calais. Dad picked it out and I couldn't complain because he paid half. Had an iron duke in it and I drove the piss out of it until a blown head gasket took its life, only lasted me about a year. Dad gave me a couple options, he would pay to fix it but then it would be his car, I could pay to fix it, or I could go out and buy another car with my money. I really didn't like the car so I let him have it. I went out and bought a 92 Cavalier Z24 with a 5-speed. That is the car that I consider my first car since I picked it out and payed for the whole thing with my money. I really wish I still had that car but the doors were rusting out and the trans was getting weak. Sold it my senior year for about $200 less than I paid for it.
Pic courtesy Google images but mine was the same color...still a good looking car!
Edit to add: The paint on mine wasn't faded as much as this one.

'63 Chevy Biscayne 2-door - 230 six, three on the tree, chrome reverse wheels with baby moons, a Golden Goose glass pack held on by coat hangers, Earl Scheib paint and a huge dent in the right door. It cost me $175.
A silver 1967 Alfa Romeo Spyder was my first car and purchased while I was in college. The interior was in a bit of disrepair but still functional. I broke a ring about eight months later and sold the car for about $200 less than I initially paid. That was both the first and last convertible that I owned.

The first one I really drove and was mine to do what I wanted with was inherited from a grand parent, it was so rusty you could just about flintstone drive it.. feet thru the floorboards. The 4 speed 4 cylinder version of this:

1979 Ford Pinto. By the time I got it, it was 20 years old, but I was only the second owner and it was pristine. Garage kept its whole life. 2 months after taking ownership I rear-ended a white Caprice with no taillights in dense fog. The only damage to my car was the fender around the passenger side headlight headlight got bent and creased. That winter(My first winter driving, mind you) I lost it on a back road and wound up in a ditch and when they pulled it out we found a stick in the radiator and it got towed home and sat for several months before my dad sold it.

I still have my first fiero, but have gone thru others. Good thing is ill never sell mine as even if was flat broke and homeless its not even worth lunch.. Better off keeping it to sleep in to stay dry and warm.

I inherited basically a 1980 Fairmont wagon from my grandparents. Or what was left of it too. It had a straight six in it, which was not exactly a powerhouse.
I did a lot of body work on it to patch holes, then my uncle put a cheap paint job on it. The car got me to a summer job at 16, and to school for half a school year after until it really started to go mechanically.
So I did not own it long, replacing it with a 1991 Ford Probe. However, I learned a lot about working on cars from it, both mechanically and doing body repair and painting! That experience has been invaluable over the years!

28 Ford 2 door sedan. I got it from a gas station and it was all there and I think it even ran. I promptly started restoring it and put a Olds in it. I was 15 at the time so that was 1958. I remember a guy at church has a brand new 58 Impala that he had painted Candy Apple red. The 1st Candy Apple paint I had ever seen. It looked like you could see about 8 inches into the paint. Barely got the sedan running with the Old's and traded it for a fenderless 27 T bucket with a Cad engine and a La Selle trans. This was a one time nice car that had fallen into not cherry anymore as a kid with no money could afford. 3rd car was a 49 Olds I put a 56 engine in it. This engine really ran good, I wrecked that car and put the engine in a Henry J. Much later in life I had 3 V8 Vega's which were sort of similar to that Henry J.

87 GT 5 speed purchased in 2010 at age 19. 97k on it, paid $3600. All original save for rear Intrax springs, I f***ing miss that car so much (was totaled/ t-boned very soon after I rebuilt a lot of things, only owned it for 1.5yrs).

We have something in common, . Not sure what kind of a carb I had, it worked ... pretty good ... I could sqeak the tires. Real good in dirt, just like the Mannix and Cannon TV shows, . Mine had been previously rolled. It was painted primer grey and flat black, umm, camouflage, . It was a great truck. A year later, I got one of these ... :
