The federal General Services Administration, with the White House’s blessing and the Department of Homeland Security’s knowledge, ordered law enforcement personnel not to arrest Occupy Seattle protesters who broke the law last year.
Department of Homeland Security documents obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request by Judicial Watch show law enforcement was told to ignore Occupiers who chained themselves to a concrete barrel in violation of curfew and laws against overnight camping at a site in Portland.
According to the Judicial Watch press release, on Nov. 6, 2011, DHS/National Protection and Programs Directorate Chief of Staff Caitlin Durkovich and GSA Public Buildings Service Commissioner Robert Peck had the following email exchange:
(From Durkovich “I am sorry to be emailing you on a Sunday night, but wanted to let you know our Press Shop has received a couple of calls from Portland media outlets about a group of 11 protesters who again set up camp at Terry Shrunk Plaza in Portland last night. They have chained themselves to a large drum filled with concrete. GSA controls the permits and has asked FPS (Federal Protective Services) not to enforce the curfew at park and the prohibition on overnight encampments. Reporters have asked if we will be arresting the protestors as FPS did last week.
“Our FPS Commander in Portland says they are standing down and following GSA’s request to only intervene if there is a threat to public safety.”
(From Peck “Caitlin: yes, that is our position; it’s been vetted with our Administrator and Michael Robertson, our chief of staff, and we have communicated with the WH (White House), which has afforded us the discretion to fashion our approach to Occupy issues…The arrests last week were carried out despite our request that the protesters be allowed to remain and to camp overnight…”
The week before, 25 Seattle Occupiers had been arrested by police after a standoff at a place called Jamison Square. The charges included trespass, disorderly conduct and interfering with a police officer.
During the Occupy Wall Street protests last year, many of which turned violent and most of which involved mass law breaking and numerous arrests, the White House on multiple occasions told the media that no one from the Obama Administration had encouraged or aided the Occupiers, even though Obama himself expressed support of the Occupiers in his speeches.
You may recognize Peck’s name as the official at the center of the GSA Las Vegas scandal wherein taxpayer money paid for an $823,000 training weekend in Sin City that included a $31,000 reception and high-priced entertainment. Peck has since been fired for the 2010 incident.
He is currently being sued by a GSA whistleblower for alleged retaliation.
Judicial Watch has found yet another smoking gun showing that the Obama Administration and the DHS have willfully allowed select groups to break the law.
If you’re on the ins with this administration, you can get away with anything, including providing the guns that are used in the murders of Border Patrol agents.
Average citizens are grilled, humiliated and practically raped just for the privilege of flying on an airplane, conservative organizations are harassed by the IRS, contributors to King Obama’s political opponent are pilloried and have their private information posted on the Internet, yet criminals from favored groups walk freely where they will.
The Department of Homeland Security is a rogue agency, and this administration is an enemy of the American people.

Since I'm pretty sure every single one of those threads carry the same message ("Obama sucks"), I'm going to consider this as a violation of the following posting rule if you don't tone it down:

So I guess is ok for Neptune to choose to troll only my posts from the last few days with his nonsense? In the process of doing this he has bumped all my threads up to fill the O/T section on purpose. Shouldn't he be the one that needs to tone things down? The threads I had started were all naturally fading away on their own. Neptune is the one who chose to bump them up with his nonsense. I think he is the one who deserves a warning and some possible punishment for what he did. Creating a single thread to address the many varied topics on how Obama and our government suck is not a fair way to discuss them. Maybe you could open a new section called " Why Obama and the government sucks" where we can put these threads and discuss them. That way the libs will be happy because they will now be able to entirely avoid any political discussion that enrages them, and the conservatives can have a field day ripping Obama a new one.
