1996 Escort LX with 194k on the clock. This car runs and drives like a top and looks great for its age. Never smoked in and was owned by a little old lady who I would assume never ran it at Mo-Kan. Its a 5 speed mated with a 1.9 4 cylinder. That combo of engine and trans is very fuel friendly. It will get about 40 on the highway and 35 around town. The car is a solid car and is clean inside and out. No weird shakes, noises or smell's found anywhere near this car. It just got a oil change too! The interior is really clean and the seats have no tears. However there are a few minor things wrong with the car. The hood has a few paint chips, the windsheild has a crack and the wheels have oxidation (some elbow grease and they are shiny again). All and all this would make a great commuter car or a great first car for your kids. Its rock solid and does not look like crap. It's a good little car
Price is 1500
.

Hopefully he lives close or with his mom so you don't have to take a long bus ride again.

I wish I had any kind of use for the car. I've been wanting a gas saver to put a ridiculous stereo in and drive on vacations, but I don't think this is what I really want. I was thinking more of a C230 Kompressor. Good luck with the sale Kris.

A.. no such thing
B.. great car to learn on

I sucked at driving a stick - then I bought a car with no torque and a high geared 6 speed for a daily driver. You learn quick when a dealer clutch job would cost more than Kris is asking for the Escort.

A. Ya.. it is.. We're talking Misery from MN
B. True, but long story short, the boy don't live with me.

Yes, this is exactly the kind of car I'd teach someone to drive a stick on, just not in the cards right now.
And shivver.. the thought of doing a road trip in that thing to get it back home.. Sorry have gotten too used to freeway cruises wrapped in Mustang leather with the top down.
