Not that I'm complaining

Someone mentioned this to me today, first time I really noticed. A straggler here or there, but otherwise the "plague of stink" just up and left as quick as it came. Is it the same in other areas? What happened?

I'm not a person that knows bugs really, but I do know that they all live in cycles. This means they come and go in waves.

Not sure, it ALWAYS stinks in NY...

I know they were planning on using a bunch of different insecticides on them

Funny thing
The damage they do is they make a hole
and suck out some juice
the hold "woods" up, and makes the fruit look bad
So people might not buy it
but lord knows what those insecticides will do to the fruit..
blech

they have no natural predator here
but
there are plans to import a teeny wasp which
lays their egg
inside the Stink bug's egg.

I have to agree with ya on most of that, with exception to the no natural predators part. About 2 summers back I sat on the porch and watched what looked like a mantid and grasshopper and a spider did the funky bunch orgy style catch, pierce, and suck the insides out of the stinkbug. Can't remember what bug it actually was, I know I asked on here about it though. Its distantly related to the kissing bug/assassin bug(?) (they look very similar physically) IIRC

If someone can find the I am referencing and post it, I'll mail em a cookie

Hope they are gone for good, couldn't open a window at College all last year because of them. We started killing them with NERF guns when we were bored, lol.
