At my moms house, I named the WiFi "Mom use this one!", because she always was calling me to ask which one she was suppose to click on.

At my house, our network is "Federal Violent Crimes Division". Because the rumor around my neighborhood is I work with for the FBI. It all started because some agents came to my house one day to ask some questions about a person Ruby worked with. My neighbors saw the guys talking to us, and then the next week I bought a Crown Vic, so I have been asked more then a few times what agency I work for. Its kinda funny, but also people stay away from my house.

So what interesting names do you have for your WiFi network?

I have Tubes, and one named Open.

Past names

FBI Network.
Cellular Test Antenna (We had a new cell phone antenna in town.)
Virus Spreader
Connect for free puppies
Series of Tubes
Internets

I'm sure I am forgetting a few. I change the name when I mess with the router, or get bored with seeing the "connected to ____" pop up.

LoL Great minds think alike. When I changed my WiFi to having a password at my old house, I renamed it "No more free pron for U!" Of course it was spelled correctly.

Hidden SSID... you have to search for it and if you get one thing wrong you can't see it.

Used to be "UnfinishedViruses," then just "VirusVault." Now we upgraded to a CISCO N router so the ID is something like "ElatedMongoose."

"The Crispy Bacon Lovers Network"

Someone in my broadcast area is named "Work you damn dirty ape", someday I'll change mine to "Damn ape stole my crispy bacon" or perhaps I'll change it to "Crispy Bacon and Lipitor Lovers"

That's a pretty good one.

And since it's hidden you would have to be a sneaky snake to get on it.

"Scott Wants A Ferret" named like 3 weeks ago when I was trying to convince my girlfriend to let me get a Ferret - it didn't work. Before that it was PC > Mac. And in my old apartment it was "Click 4 Pron".

I forgot to add, since everyone is telling theirs.

This time around I used http://strongpasswordgenerator.com/ to create my password. Makes it more fun, though I wrote it on a piece of blue tape on top of the router because I would otherwise forget, and end up having to once again reset it.

I have 'MacWinGuest' for the neighbors to use, 'MacWin24' for the secure 2.4MHz, and 'MacWin58' for the secure 5.8MHz.
There is a network that is within range named, 'We are all naked over here'. I don't know who they are, and maybe don't want to know (unless ...) .
